Hi, wonder if anyone can help. My sister ordered an ipad from this company over 3 weeks ago and still hasn't recived it. Delivery status has been varied on parcel tracking site (which also looks dodgy) and has said either still in container...or now "in uk delivery". Im really concerned that it will either never arrive or if it eventually does, turn out to be a fake. Ive found loads of stuff on web about the company and have some serious doubts but unfortunatley shes already ordered and paid.
If anyone has any helpful advice id really appreciate your response as this ipad was supposed to be a special birthday present for my 12 year old niece who is now pretty gutted
Thanks[/QUOTE
Hi,
I am sorry to say that I think your Sister has been done like we have. We decided to order ipads from this company for my Sons birthday and mine. we were nervous but checked with barclays card fraud and they had no record of them so decided to go for it as we could not afford full priced ipads. Well our anxiousness grew over the 6 weeks that we waited until finally we got a delivery date and breathed a sigh of relief. The ipads did not turn up on the expected day, then on the latest day quoted - no ipads, so I trawled through forums feeling sicker and sicker with what I read:shocked: I then had a look at the tracking link I had been given and what i saw made me feel ill! A status as delivered on a few days before apparently signed for by me (the order was in my husbands name) with my signature (fake obs) a carrier name and driver name with what turned out to be a fake phone number (surprsing aye!!) and so now after 6 weeks of anxiety we now have to start fighting our cause and try to get our money back somehow - I am afraid that it seems that this company is praying on the hard up that cannot afford full priced apple goods.0 -
By the way Discount Emporium on Amazon were great when I ordered a dishwasher from them - this is a different company and not to be trusted!!!!!!!!!0

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
I've just had to report them to the bank as fraud - don't think my parcel is arriving after 6 weeks of waiting (even though I paid extra to have this delivered within 3-5 days), no longer receiving replies to my emails and the delivery link they sent me has now been updated and states my order was made in 1970 and no further info offered.0 -
I hadn't read all these posts before foolishly parting with my hard earned cash back at the end of May. My order for a Blackberry Z10 was never fulfilled despite having received assurances (after a couple of enquiry emails to their customer service). Anyway, to cut a long story short, after discovering that I no longer had an 'account' with them and therefore could no longer track my order (no: 794 of 29th May), I put the payment from my Mastercard into dispute on 24th June and, lo & behold, Mastercard have recovered my money- back in the account yesterday.
As for 'Alex Millar', if he is a real person and employed by this company, rather than running at best a highly 'inefficient' operation, at worst, well let others decide what to call it, then he should get out now before the roof falls in. Caveat Emptor - my attempt to save £100 could have left me well out of pocket...
Update: I forgot to mention that as well as no longer having an account with them, the website link, given for tracking my parcel was also dead. They were apparently based in the Middle East anyway, so hardly based in the EU - as described in Discount Emporium's blurb - which by the way, cited Norway, which of course is not part of the EU! All a lot of smoke and mirrors in my view.0 -
I ordered an IPAD 2 a month ago on a 10 day delivery, a month later no IPAD 2 arrived as yet!!
I was told lots of lies about where it was etc, they even said they couldnt track it for a week as the couriers computer had crashed!!. I asked to cancel order, and they agreed but no refund has yet been paid. Next stop the bank to get my money back.0 -
Stupidly ordered an Ipad mini mid June, didn't arrive, then tracking link failed. Contacted and told 'courier problems' and offered full refund. I accepted and refund was never received. DiscountEmporium ltd are now not responding to emails and the latest one was sent back as permanently declined. Contacted Consumer Direct , very helpful, who are informing trading standards of a criminal breach as goods/refund have not been received within 30 days. Luckily I ordered it by credit card and I am therefore covered.
A lesson learned, please don't make the same mistake.0 -
its funny how Alex has gone AWOL I have also been subject to there crazy low prices...I ordered S4 and guess what?? it got delivered but a few doors down as no body was in (apparently) why did they deliver it a few doors down which of course it didn't...it took around 6 weeks to get delivered...apparently...and I emailed them or course and they got me to fill out a form and they are going to claim against TWR post...should take 14 days if they don't hear anything from them, the refund gets automatically awarded to me ..its now its been 8 weeks (6-weeks for delivery and 14 days for the investigation) later they are no longer replying to my emails!!! so i'm now hoping my card will give me some sort of advice I will give them until lunch time today!
The tracking seems to have changed as well from TWR Post to royal mail and the contact number has gone!
its a lot of hassle!!!!!!!0 -
Ordered Mini iPad on 24th.May and got all the platitudes that are listed on this forum, in exactly the same format. Went straight to CCBill and suggested they were complicit with fraudulent activity as I had no proof that either the goods existed or indeed had ever been shipped. I demanded repayment in full and was promised this in 5 -10 business days; hooray!!! learnt today I have been re-imbursed in FULL. I kept all email copies just in case I had to lobby Credit Card company, but thankfully not needed. £254 to the good.
You have to make someone accountable and gladly CCBill came up trumps; as for DEltd and TWRPost just steer well clear.0 -
There seems to be a common pattern on posts here and also on HotUKdeals:
- People order phones/tablets and money taken from credit card for the purchase
- Order is tracked as being on its way
- Weeks and weeks go by
- Phone/tablet shows as being delivered, but is never received by the buyer. When buyer complains, they are told that phone/tablet was delivered and signed for. Signature is not that of buyer. No neighbours have taken in/signed for parcel.
- Instead of refunding money, seller insists on "investigation"
- Weeks and weeks go by
- Seller becomes difficult or impossible to contact
Draw your own conclusions about the nature of this operation
Why has no one shut them down? Closed their registered UK company and removed the website.
Each week they remain active, more money is taken from people0 - People order phones/tablets and money taken from credit card for the purchase

NIGHTMARE!!!! DONT USE THIS SITE. Ordered a Sony Slider on the £809.99 on the 11 February, still waiting today false promises and excuses, the horse meat scandal, and a tracking number that when the delivery day came, I book the day off, waiting in, but no delivery, contact discount emporium with no answer. Check the next day the online tracking number, to which it had been signed for by a number 23 MR JONES, there isn't a number 23 only 22, contacted TWR POST, to which they stated it was a error and was delivered to 22, so I knocked the door of number 22, to which he is a police man, and guess what!!! no delivery, he also showed me the cctv at the front of his house that backed he story and my evidence, which I gained a copy. I have also cctv at the front of my house and check, no one turned.
I gathered my evidence statements, and sent them on to discount emporium and TWR POST, TWR stated that it had been delivered and was out there hands, and discount emporium up until last Thursday say that a cheque was getting sent to me. Received nothing and now they have changed there email address. and no answer to there phone number.
I will now contact the Police, and start proceedings for a small claims court, I will not stop until someone answers for this.0
