    outcome;
    i am sorry to advise you i am declining your complaint. i hope i have explained the reasons for my decision.

    angeleyes1 I would telephone them on the number at the top of your letter and quote the reference they have given you.

    Initially I sent the "taking you to court in 14 days" as a response to that letter, and phoned them on day 13 after reading this thread - they said the letters are taking longer to respond to as they have such a huge amount to get through and that phoning is the best way to get your claim re-evaluated - I was told that there is an 8 week waiting time, but most offer letters are going out within around 3-4 weeks - remember to be nice no matter how frustrated you feel as they will deal with you quicker!

    Hope this helps!

  • Thanks Janebo 12
    i have just rang the number at the top of my letter and gave my ref, the lady was very nice and has put my claim throught, its gonna take a maximum of 8 weeks , but she said i should probably hear before that.

    thanks for your help, just wait and see what happens now

    Morning guys!

    Just called them and thought I would test the water with the operator to see whether I could get any information. So gave my complaint letter number and before I said anything he said, you obviously want to have this reviewed. (oh), yes please I said. He seemed very approachable, so I said I have a gap in my statements I received of about 9 months, could he possibly help or refer me. To which he said I should refer you, however I will help out. He has to reorder all of them(again), 3rd time, however he is not sure why these are not showing up on the system either. Thinks itwas probably the change over period (halifax/BOS), and they may have a technical error. Not sure if these do not show up, what I can do about this period!

    However, I also asked how long this referral takes, to which I was told should be about 8 weeks from time of complaint. He said if there are any other circumstances you want taken into place (i.e. default removal, etc) then it has to go in writing, otherwise (let it slip), that all cases are usually reviewed after 8 weeks anyway. Think this letter is a time delaying tactic.

    So guys, be positive and stick with it. Will let you know how I get on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello everyone claiming from HALIFAX. I have watched and read all these threads for the last few months and just wanted to say that i followed Martins instructions to the lata....
    Posted and requested bank charges for my 2 accounts back in FEB
    Didnt come so called them and told them that by law i was suppose to get them within 42days and now it was 45.
    Got apology and they arrived 2 days later.
    Sent 1st letter requesting charges back in full from both my current accounts
    1 = nearly £4,000 2 = nearly £6,000
    Two weeks later got standard letter stating they were within there rights etc etc.
    Straight away i sent 2 nd letter staing i would take them to court if they didnt cough up and i gave them only 14 days to respond otherwise i was taking them to crt.
    No reply when the 14 days were up so stuck to my word and filed with MCOL
    They acknowledge claim and said they intended to defend and were then allowed 28days to put in defence.
    Defence up today at midnight.
    Last friday first lot of money appeared in my account, full amount + interest+ court fee.
    Called them today and asked for update on other account before i file judgement.
    They had lost claim and i had to fax it through today and they would call me today once they had recieved it.
    Told them if i didnt reciev call them i was filling for judgement first thing in morning.
    True to their word they called me hour ago and said they were sorry about the mix up and the full amount would be in my account by morning +interest+ court fee.

    So all i can say is follow Martins advice. You make the time scales and dont faulter from it.

    Well i think i may shop now !!!!

    Hi All

    First time here, can someone give me an idea if my claim seems to be on track.

    Sent first letter with deatails of all charges on 23rd may, got a rejection letter on the 25th May saying if not happy contact the FOS which i did and lodged a complaint.
    I called today to ensure HBOS have received contact from the FOS which they confirmed they had and they will come back to me within 8 weeks from the 25th.

    Claim is for £6339

    Cheers
