Try a little bit of toothpaste and just rub that on.
Toothpaste is abrasive and I remember using it for the same thing when my kids were small.

Basically hubby did a lot of dirty manual work over the weekend and had a bath while I went to bed lasy night only he forgot to take the water out
The result is a dirty skum line round the bath
Ive tried very hot water and flash spray with bleach but its not shifting

What about a cream cleaner like cif, I think that would shift it.

    Hi there -

I get the same thing as my hubby is a mechanic -the best and easiest thing HE has found is good old Jif and we keep a special brush for it -like a big pot brush with nylon bristles -but a nailbrush will do the same... hope it helps

    Preferably hubby's!

You may need an abrasive cleaner - cream cleaner/astonish or a nylon scourer, but it will come off. The sprays don't really deal with 'proper' dirt, so you may find that if you scrub this off the rest of the bath will look grubbier.

I wouldn't recommend bleach unless you know it won't damage whatever your bath is made out of.

Hot water and washing powder worked for me when our bath was dirty and nasty. Just leave it to soak for a few hours.
