  • I remove them and put them in the garden bin, snails too. A scourge they are.

Picked-up some more spring onion seeds in Aldi yesterday as between them, the pigeons & squirrels have either eaten the seeds or dug-up the plants.
Also picked-up some lettuce seeds. Tomorrow I will be sowing & weeding.

  • Month 30, day 29 Hi all, I have been gardening up a storm, when the weather wasnt providing one. Today is payday and tomnorrow is month 29. Much to celebrate. Must keep focussing on the positives!!

My car is on its very last legs, its list of non working components far far outnumber the working ones. The wheels turn - that is the top and bottom of its functionality.

I am going to also plant lettuce etc - I will sew them in pots and will do a mixed pot, so they look ornate. - Well, thats the plan. we found a lovely garden centre which has semi mature trees and they were not as expensive as I had thought, and one was a crab apple tree, and I make crab apple chutney, so that pretty little offering may be mine!! There were also some nice trees which are suitable for pots, and as I have some giant pots this seems like manna from heaven. :T

However all these things are on the wishlist, my birthday money has to be spent on a new car and some paint for the fence and garden furniture. Any remaining money has to be put aside as an emergency fund for now.

No word on my salary and no word on my time off in lieu which I am owed.

Bleugh... at least I am off next week :):T

Oh I love the way you talk about your car!!!:rotfl::T agree..it's a Freddie style car for you! More seriously that's an expensive pain..hope it's not all bad

Crab apple jelly is fab. We have the John Downie variety, a common one, and in a good year it makes for jars and jars of lush jam or jelly .( latter if you can be bothered)

My rhubarb chutney is great. Very pleased with that. Just hope it doesn't go mouldy on me. Most people I know always have a glut of it so see if you can beg, borrow or steal some of that and maybe cook that? After all the crab apples won't be ready until autumn and you need chutney before then:D

  • Month 30, Final Day! You lot do make me smile in spite of it all.

The car is a force of nature, albeit an unnatural one. It is erratic and irritating and I would much prefer it if we didnt have a car. Unfortunately living rurally and having children means thats out of the question.

I am not very well at the moment, I am feeling quite fragile. I am feeling completely useless on so many levels - and feel so lost. I need to stop this somehow. ..

    1. need to check my meds and make sure I take them. The latter is often forgotten.
    2. Detox - dont give in to daily wine and eat well.
    3. Get the ebay photographed and the listings built for the weekend. Its a moneyspinner and it also declutters.
    4. Mortgage payment is now rounded up by pennies to 206 pcm. Will make no difference on a monthly basis but over the course of the loan could be brilliant.
    5. Keep a neat house and a neat garden.

I shall now, for my next trick, pay some pennies off some things and update my snowball and the signatures.

Tomorrow will be month 29, wow, under 2 and a half years to go. Its been a long time coming.

Having some issues with DD2 and her dad. She stays with him and his mum alternate weekends and she goes on a wednesday night for a meal and her gran collects her from school. This week, her gran is unable to collect her and he dad has said he will get her from home at half five and take her for her tea. This means I have to finish work early to collect her. I am not allowing her to go, if he cant manage to get her from school she is staying home. I am not debating this. This is how it will be. Everyone take a liberty! Free here, flaming liberties, come and get one!!

Other than that the merry go round of ebay and washing and ironing is commencing for another week.

    Glad you're smiling again :D:D:D

Daily wine maybe not such a good day! :o Try to make it just weekly. Maybe it's part of the reason you're not feeling quite so 'you' at the minute...

Have sold 2 things on ebay :j Ok it's only £10 but better in my pocket plus less clutter ;)

And stick to your guns ref DD2/dad/gran/lifts too!

  • Yes, I am not a support mechanism for others!. Just had a call from HR regarding an issue I was querying with them. I had asked for a subject access request so I could look at my HR file. This was on Friday.

A girl has rung me back and said do you still want to see your file, and I said yes. She said just because you are leaving the company. I said "what??" and she quickly became even less coherent.I have no idea what this girl was talking about, it was fluff and nonsense. I am not leaving the company - am I? Perculiar nonsense!
