Honey bear what your aim is with the deadheading is to stop the bulb wasting energy creating seeds so nip off below the fat bit which was the flower. Leaves all leaves for at least 6 weeks to die down (do not tie up). Water if it gets very dry and you can feed too (I never have but have quite a few gone blind so I may this year).
Been out shopping with DH as he needs something smart to wear for a work do next week. None of our house are natural clothes shoppers. I did show him the dining chairs I love and he does too so going to order them (wanted the quidco hence why not doing it in store).
Flying has just been 2 loads of washing. Going to do a bit of baking now and then finish dinner - put gammon in the AGA before I went out.
Must do the ironing tonight and shorten DS3's cricket trousers, first games of the season this week and he is filling gaps in the U13 so busy week. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

How lovely, thankyou!
It seems soul-healing today has come in the form of waterslideswhat a whale of time we all had. I think I smiled non stop for well over an hour. Even the littlies didn't moan about being splashed and bumped - they are so going to love the pool on holiday!
It was good to have fun together and reminded me what our family resolution was this year - have fun! Feels so good to be happy
They are very giddy but just calming down and kissing each other at the moment :A
Wishing you all as good a day as we have had.Bossymoo

Right, I have now made myself totally neurotic about Dot and Tiddles.. I am having both assessed for autistic spectrum disorders for a variety of reasons.. it would be less worrying if I didn't already have 3 diagnosed.
You certainly have your hands full. Don't feel neurotic; you probably know the signs better than many! There are quite a few of us on here who are SEN teachers I think; so well done you for juggling and loving them all so well. I can tell you that those of us dealing with them when they are older can always tell which ones have been lovingly and sympathetically brought up.
And talking about education........after a lovely day in the garden (only another 6 weeks solid labour and it would be looking good) I've now got to devote the rest of the evening to pre-0fsted checking of folders.

Good luck with 0fsted Narco - surprised you get the weekend to know, schools don't.
Ironing all done. Going to run DS3 a bath and have a cuppa then sort out a plan for this week. Not a lot of flying as lots on and DH is planning to strip the LR floorboards on the weekend so don't see much point in flying TBH.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Thanks for the dead heading heads up Dusty.
I am still stuck on Monday's flying list, the HH mending. However, the good news is, I've repaired a few things that have been on the mending pile(s) for years, I have learned to reverse on two different sewing machines, zigzagged for the first time, made a few hand-towels out of our favourite nac**ered bath towels, and - Victory of Victories! - managed to make about five metres of bias binding for the first time - today!
Oh, and I've flown a bit, dusted, sparkled the bathroom and a few other bits and pieces. The forecast today was rain, so there was no point in doing any more washing, but the rest of the week will fine and warmish. I might start the pillows, blankets and duvets off on their annual cycle this week.Better is good enough.0 -
Good evening all xx
I think our school normally know when Iestyn (Wales equivalent of Ofsted) is coming???
Tomorrows bolognaise dinner done and pasta/pesto/cheese done for DD and I for lunch. I have a couple of dishes to do and we are all ready for tomorrow xx0 -
Might be an ongoing - 'we know it's coming, let's keep on top of it all' system;)
We've been expecting them since Sept, but the email came through on Thurs am apparently. Seems that is what they do with colleges; email on a Thurs to anywhere they are likely to be the following week. Any later in the term and people will have started finishing their courses and there wouldn't be much to inspect............Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
