    Morning!

Flying today will be mostly taking DD to football and spending time with kiddies, as they've been with grandparents for nearly 2 days! We need to tidy the playroom, and they will need feeding of course.

Am going to put DS old toddler bed on eb@y as it hasn't sold in the locals. Will put it on a short time as I just want rid...

Have a good day, all, I'm off for a shower and to make some brekkie...

Well I have been awake since silly o'clock due to going to bed at 10:30 last night.. up now with a smelly baby.. she is now unsmellied.

Having a cuppa while she feeds herself breakfast and then I shall sneak and hang out wet laundry.. someone turned off the rain and a shiny thing has appeared in the sky.. along with a couple of trees worth of allergens.. meaning of course I feel like crap again.

Sorting ebay boxes today and the resulting bags of stuff are being deposited at cs asap before I change my mind!

    Morning

Got a whole day off today - whoopie!!!!! Can't remember the last time I had a day off - must be at least 2 weeks ago. OH is taking both children to a party this afternoon which is laserquest then a meal at an italian restaurant, so plenty of me time.

Going to blitz the lounge this morning and then tackle anything else that's left on the list. If I can get it done by the time they leave at 2 o'clock, then I'll have a long shower and read a book.

On my to do list is:

    - [STRIKE]sew name tag into DS's rugby top[/STRIKE]
    - meal plan
    - tidy pantry
    - tidy out, sweep and mop the long corridor
    - [STRIKE]look for shelving for long corridor to store catering equipment which is currently all over the kitchen table - hate having meals on my knee[/STRIKE]
    - check finances ready for "bills week"
    - [STRIKE]come up with canapes for funeral buffet on Thursday[/STRIKE]

Right, time to get out of bed, have a cuppa and crack on.

    HH something at 9.30?

I'm doing a one off babysitting day today. I had to be here by 8.15! Far too early for a Saturday morning! The 'baby' is trying to escape so the doors are locked. There are 2 house cats that mustn't escape either. I'm being subjected to TV programmes I haven't seen since DD2 was pre school.

He's having a nap now then I will walk him up to the park before his lunch.

No flying today. I will use my babysitting cash to pay for a takeaway tonight :-)

Today we have had sun, rain and copious hail! Yes you've guessed it - today is the first day of the league cricket season!

Have had 3 days feeling yeuch - been sleeping lots and staggering to work, but not much else. Therefore house is a pit! Must try harder.

DD1 still feeling rubbish - GP next week me thinks....

    Hello All

CY Hope your DD1 feels better soon.
Ionafanhope you've continued to feel better
    TMD enjoy your day off
    Pigpen anti-allergy vibes to you

Quick question - my WM is 4 1/2 years old. Just recently it has started to try and 'escape' when on spin cycle, it also now makes a heck of noise when spinning and today it sounded like bits were falling off internally . I think the bearings have gone or at least starting to go - does anyone know if this is an expensive job for an engineer?

    Flying wise

WM on & washing now pegged on the line outside
    Grass cut
Rubbish picked up from the front and side of house
    Dead leaves swept up
    Front door washed

    Have a great day all

    Deco x

Apparently the forecast says it will be dry from 1pm onwards! I'll believe it when I see it!

But yes - they are solely responsible! If you wish to take it up with them in person they will be in Burn, near Selby from 2pm onwards!

Going on my previous experiences with WMs, if it's the bearings, that's usually a death warrant because they're so expensive. However, the good news is that it could just be that the weights inside have worked their way loose if the machine is trying to go walkabout. Worth calling a friendly local freelance engineer (if it's out of warranty) for a diagnosis.

I've had to start Dog on morphine during the day, today. She was very uncomfortable the night before last, and early this morning it was very clear that she was feeling really grim. She still hopped about and told me to get a move on when she knew we were going for her first walk this morning, but once we got beyond about 25 yards she looked as though she was walking on eggshells. No sign of 'happy ears' this morning, either, so I took the decision to dose her up on the hard stuff in addition to her morning dose of paracetemol. It's knocked her out completely, and she's finally looking relaxed.

I'm not sure how long her system will keep going. All I want is for her to be comfortable, and slip away peacefully in her sleep rather than have to invite the person who frightens her most in the world (vet with needle) into the house.
    Better is good enough.
