Not a happy bunny today - my left foot is purple.:( I have a bar chair in the kitchen that I use to perch on to do my tasks, and Mr LW knocked it over and it landed straight on my foot with the hard aluminium tubing striking me really painfully. Footwear of any sort is very uncomfortable at the best of times - I can't get any on other than Mr LW's wellies now.:( I don't think anything's broken though - I wouldn't be able to walk a single step at all if it was, right?:o

No Lame Wolf it may be broken. "Im a bit of an ignore them until it drops off Mum" and once, to my shame, my DD walked around for a week on a broken bone in her foot. Also I will point you in the direction of daisygg post here She had actually broken her foot on her wedding morning but adrenalin carried her through the day and actually danced at her ceilidh at her reception:eek::eek::eek:

I know you dont like doctors but best to get it checked out x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Off to my nest now having achieved absolutely nothing at all today.. again! I am such a lazy mare!

STOP THAT SILLY TALK RIGHT NOW!!!! You are not a lazy mare. You are a pregnant, busy mum with a whole heap of turmoil going on at home. Cut yourself some slack or I shall have to send out the heavy mob! :naughty:

    lol

seriously I haven't gone to bed yet...I have been out..
    *hic*

anyway WM on and ready to run. When I have finished my :coffee: I shall put the mug in the DW and switch it on.

Impressed that you are flying after a night out - I usually just step out of my clothes and collapse into bed. Respect :T

The wet weather has returned so it will be indoor jobs here this morning.

Going to set-to in the long corridoor and clear it out of papers, bikes, decorating buckets etc., etc., etc., and make space for shelving for my catering business crockery - there's loads. Thinking I'll also look at running a couple of washing lines the full length of it so I can dry clothes on wet days by opening the door to the garden at the far end. At the moment, the corridor is just dead space which could be put to better use.

DS has a footie match this afternoon, so dog will be walked then whilst out.

OH is on breakfast duty - smelling lovely coming up the stairs. Will get my rump into gear at 10 once I've eaten.

Anyone up for HH something at 10am?

Friday DD had her parents night and did so well doing her signing plus she won the cup for runner up best girl. :D

Plan is to catch up today on the flying.... I would love to have the place ready for the week ahead.

LW hope you can get your foot checked out and that nothing is broken.

Thank you kindly! Eating (vegetarian meal) and sipping (fairly) slowly - oh and staying well away from my nemesis, red, helped!

    Washing pegged out; DW emptied.

    - please get the foot checked. As Molly says, it may be broken. I had a boy brought to me with bruised fingers he could wiggle; that and a description of the injury led me to pronounce them broken; mum looked at me in disbelief, we went to find another colleague - she agreed with me...after the THIRD colleague was asked mum agreed to take child to the Children's - where, indeed, it turned out we were all right.

    Hi all

It's sunny here, but not as warm as it looks IYSWIM, but still a beautiful day so I'm not complaining.

Bossy it's ok to grieve the hopes and dreams you had with your DH, as well as DH himself. IMHO it's part of the process. Grief is a very personal journey - don't be hard on yourself xxx

    Plans for today:

Batch cook some meals for the next couple of weeks
Take garden waste & other rubbish to the dump
Go to W!lkos to get some weed killer (can barely see the garden path in places :o)
Give the garden pots a clean

    Have a great day all

  • Sewing done - 1 name tag and repair to DD's throw.

Off downstairs to make a brew and try and make some sense of the corridor. I keep putting it off but know I'll feel all virtuous and :A-ic if I stop procrastinating.

    Another HH anyone?

Arnica being whizzed your way, LW.

Hugs for bossy and little moo's

Valli - red has become my nemesis too these days, but I love it. Have switched to white this last couple of nights, but I'm fancying buying a juicer and making green, swamp smoothies to get myself detoxed and skin glowing.

I have a friend who broke her wrist and knew it was broken but waited to go to A&E until 7am the following day so she wouldn't meet any drunks - she was right - she got excellent service and was seen straight away!

Exactly what I did last year when I broke my wrist after drinking copious amounts of red wine on my birthday. I was actually still drunk myself the following morning, as was OH, so we took a taxi up to A&E. I slept it off on a trolley in A&E, and it made making the decision to do something about excess drinking a bit easier. Interesting that several of us have realised red wine is our nemesis.

Healing vibes to Lamewolf's foot and Bossy's soul.

Dusty, I need to pick your brain. How should I deadhead the daffs? Do I have to rip the brown shrivelled bit off, or can I cut it off - if indeed the brown shrivelled bit, the ex-flower, is what should be dealt with. I've never really known how to deadhead.
    Better is good enough.
