i was already with you, ive emptied DH side of the wardrobe all the heavy winter coats are now on the spare rail in another room, ive hung his trousers suits and shirts back up neatly (8 of them are missing but he will never notice - he has 8 identical pale blue short sheelved old work shirts from before uniform colour change and he lives in those when hes not a work, as long as i dont mess with those he wont even notice the others are gone.
while doing rail in spare room decluttered a load of old newspaper clipping one of the kids had squirreled there and a mountain of plastic bags.SPC~12 ot 124
In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
My houseguest has gone home and already it feels quiet without her. I am so used to coming down the stairs and seeing her little face and her running up and down the living room wanting me to let her out. My two dogs couldn't care less if I get up or not, they are always asleep when I come down the stairs. Am hoping she comes back very soon
Although saying that I do have a dog stretched out on the sofa next to me, he wanted a cuddle when I sat down. Now he is snoring his head off..:rotfl:
LW you are better than me, I can't even go out with the dogs walking them. Weird that as I can go to my "safe" zones i.e. Asda, library and my friends house, although I am always in the car when I go to these areas and know where it is and can run to it if necessary. The rest of the places I have to go with someone with me. I did try walking the dogs on my own but got so worked up with my paranoia I had to run them back home.. Yet saying that I can take them out at midnight or later as there is no-one around..lolSadly, I don't have any "safe" zones like that; getting past the driveway is a major operation, I have to check that none of the neighbours are outside, then get on the buggy as quickly as possible and get me and whatever dog is in tow to where there are unlikely to be any people. The only human I can have come with me to make it easier is Mr LW; and of course he's at work during the day, so it makes life "interesting". I can't garden in the front alone at all, for fear of one of the neighbours appearing on the scene. A supermarket or library, without Mr LW with me, would be totally impossible.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:If anyone has any spare good luck vibes can you sling them my way please???
DS1 takes his driving test at 1pm today...he is so nervous, poor boy.
I knew I shouldn't have capitulated regarding dogs in the bedroom.... when I first started dog-sitting, I wasn't going to allow it, but some of the little oldies settle so much better in the bedroom, so I relented.:o Anyways, I digress.... BD has spent the entire night curled up on my bed.:( It's now trying to sit on my lap as I type.:( Hopefully Jessie will give it the order of the boot when she arrives tomorrow.
As regards Flying.... it's bedroom day today, and I need to do the spare room too, as Mr LW will be wfh tomorrow so I won't be able to Fly. Aready done: three pairs of Mr LW's jeans washed (put on overnight) - he hung them in the bathroom for me, as it looked dull out first thing, but now the sun's out, so I've moved them out onto the whirligig. I also have a hand-wash-only top sitting in soapy water (must go and rinse in a moment) - this one has to be washed alone because it runs better than Usain Bolt!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Migraine healing vibes for Ionafan. I take my hat off to you. I couldn't have typed or cooked when I had one, you must be super-human. Calm, restful, healing, sofa-sleepy vibes for the rest of the day.
Good luck vibes to Mo5's DS1. I'll be thinking of him at 1.00pm.
Flying wise, I'm still working on:
Monday - Bit of everything to kick start the week
HHI or mending
The mending pile has been about 20 years in the making, so it's taking a while to work through. I've already made one sewing machine go 'Pop' (trying to teach myself how to do automatic buttonholes) and the engineer has taking it away to get fixed. OH's mother's has been hauled out of the attic and I'm going to teach myself how to use it today. It's an effort to make some pretty hand towels out of the beautiful embroidered towels we bought in France about 20 years ago that have bald patches now, they were so overused. I just can't trash them.
And the metre of cheesecloth I bought from Fleabay to use instead of the useless muslin has arrived, so I'm going to have to carry on with that project, after all. It really is a very dark khaki, but that's all they had.
And then, I suppose, I'll have to make some muslin shifts out of the useless muslin, or that'll be stuck on the mending/sewing pile for 20 years. I really cannot stand it any more.Better is good enough.0 -

Pigpen A new pelvis for Christmas? if you have got SPD isn't the new Pigpen arrival going to give you back your old one good as new by then? in the meantime, speak to MW about a referral to get a belly brace, it might give a bit of relief and stop you having to have crutches until near the end
SPD is a Witch with a capital B, I had it with DS (but not DD4 strangely enough) so you have my sympathy.
I am already on crutches and the brace puts extra pressure on the bits that hurt and make it worse.. I am special.Piggers hope things aren't too bad re your building site. Hope you are feeling a bit better too, I know it's useless saying try and rest but do try and factor a little rest in between your hectic lifeHope squeak is starting to feel better from her ear infection.
Oooh Piggers I love your pegs, although I would be even happier if they were pinkand you do the same as me, put a colour on each side of the whirly gig
That reminds me I need to buy some more while out today with my friend in town.
Valli has a lot to answer for doesn't she..lol
Her ear is sore still but she is ok.. she struggled on the escalator thing at Tesco yesterday as it is angled and her balance isn't 100%
I like bright coloured pegs.. deliberately chose these over the pink ones.. I had peg issues before encountering Valli.
One beast pic.
I ended up not paying for them because I couldn't stop crying and I think they just wanted me to go away lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Its been a busy morning but got most of the jobs done, although I now have a problem with wm, one of the plastic bits from inside the drum have came off so I will need to get DH to have a look at it tonight.
Pigpen - Congratulations on being pregnant, when are you due?
I have an hour before I need to collect the kids so grabbing a quick bite to eat and deciding on my next plan of action, I think I will aim to get Monday's list completed apart from the planting seeds (probably not a wise idea for me to do heavy lifting since I'm 6 months preggers). In order to complete Monday's list safely I aim to:
Monday
Hoover and mop the kitchen floor
HHPaperwork/replying to emails/paying bills - this will be business paperwork as I have a slight backlog at the moment.
Mending - got one pair of trousers to mend
Get some hot soapy water and wash your front door and the frame
Tidy the kitchen0 -
OptoMum midwife visit - very excited for you
Mummy5 - hoe all went well for DS1
Going to make a cuppa whist I put the washing on the line then see if I can get the lawn mower started on my ownThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
DD4 is now in a milk induced stupor.:j
HH dusting and loo scrubbing anyone? The cold never bothered me anyway0
