Good morning, all
Not quite sure if it is a good morning yet - my migraine is grumbling on (and Migraleve or anything else with codeine in makes me feel worse) but it will go eventually if I can sleep it off. But it does mean that we'll have to scrap any ideas of going out for lunch today at our local NT propertyMaybe tomorrow.
Did a second round of decluttering in the utility room yesterday evening, and started on another cull in the study. Some more of DH's clothes (outgrown or unsuitable - eg crop trousers in size 3X ) are going to the CS, and I'll check my side of the wardrobe again when I go up for my shower
I also decided yesterday that I will take the hyacinth bulbs to the Cathedral gardener. He will be able to find a suitable permanent home for them in the Close where lots of people can enjoy the flowers: payback for all the bits that I've had from his plant stall, which are now taking over my garden!
Well done Skint & Co for all your garden efforts. I like your idea of pipe insulation foam for the trampoline cage. And it's great to hear that your DD4's hips are OK
I also want to deal with a big frog today in the shape of a Gift Aid claim for our small charity. It shouldn't take long once I actually get round to it, the problem is more about me getting my head round the paperwork again after several months' gap since the last claim.
Better get dressed and get started, then... Hope everyone has a productive day.0 -

Good morning ladies.
Dishwasher unloaded, packed lunches made.
My lady is feeling poorly so I've got a day off today. DH failed to get up early so has decided to WFH.
The plan today is to wash the bunk beds bedding and DS2. The weather turns tomorrow so I want to make the most of today. I need to see if my handbag has recovered. I had a melted chocolate incident after bring in the tropically hot swimming pool with the kids. I've turned the lining inside out and washed it. Chocolate troubles are following me. We won a massive hamper of chocolates at the school quiz night in the raffle. We have alot of windows and it has to be continuously moved to stay out of the sun!
Ionafan I hope your poor head is easing.
Good day vibes for everyone x0 -
ionafan hope your migraine is starting to ease, really feel for you
got to iron the curtains and rehang them today cant believe how much brighter they look but slightly annoyed that i followed the washing instructions properly but patches of the rubbery looking blackout finish has stuck together in places and pulled off thankfully damaged areas will be sandwiched between curtains and linings so wont be seen but still GRRR!!
had an hour sorting the shed last night, tramp nets parasol ad mini green house got out to set up. some clutter and junk will be thrown. a couple of 1/2 tubs of paint the frost has got to need to go to the tip so garden looks a mess now but should be all sorted for the weekend.
started on digging the veg plot but heavy going as it wasnt turned over at the end of the season.
brought a pile mountain of work papers out of the attic in the hope DH will cull some or take them back to work. also found my medical card which id given up for lost years ago (in a folder with baby scan pictures and hospital notes so its been lost at least 20 years probably more as im sure that was a folder i had for one of the girls and youngest DD is 21 this year!!)SPC~12 ot 124

I wish I had your troubles, Mumto5Chocolate does not give me a migraine!
DH is going out to do some errands, leaving me in peace. I'm going to start off a roast chicken for midday dinner, then curl up on the sofa and go back to sleep. The Gift Aid claim may not get done today, but it has waited for 4 months so it can wait another day or two.0 -
Morning everyone, BD is currently hidden behind the porch door with a bone..so am hoping it doesn't manage to open the door and get to me.
Just put the first load of washing on, am hoping the weather forecast is right and it is going to be a lovely day today. Although looking at the black clouds that have just appeared in the sky I am a bit dubious...
My houseguest has gone home and already it feels quiet without her. I am so used to coming down the stairs and seeing her little face and her running up and down the living room wanting me to let her out. My two dogs couldn't care less if I get up or not, they are always asleep when I come down the stairs. Am hoping she comes back very soonAlthough saying that I do have a dog stretched out on the sofa next to me, he wanted a cuddle when I sat down. Now he is snoring his head off..:rotfl:
Oooh strange objects are going past my window, the gas men may actually be doing some work today - what a shock!!! Seeing as they have been here two weeks already and have only dug up two holes, and they are at the other end of the road. They still have almost the whole road to dig up. Can't see that being finished in 4 weeks - more like another 8 weeks. Oh well just means my ceiling removal takes longer to get removed..at this rate it will be coming down when DH is off in July.
Have fed the birds and already Mrs Chaffinch has been down for her breakfastShe was an eager beaver this morning..
Haven't seen Mr and Mrs Dove yet, they might be having a lay in.. A starling is removing twiggy bits from my garden nearly every day for his nest. Son of Asbo robin has been popping in nearly every day for a daily feast, which in his case lasts all day the amount of times he is in the garden :rotfl: Woody has returned to his usual perch during the day - the feeder tray on the bird feeder. He just loves sitting on there for hours at a time, all very well but it normally has food on it so he is depriving some other bird. Maybe that's his plan! Haven't seen Mr Sparrowhawk in the last week, but I am sure he will be back when my harvest mice start making more movement.
No sign of the hedgehogs or Mr Toady and Mr Frog yet. Although I saw evidence of Mr Slug and his friend Monsieur Snail this morning when I went out to feed the birds..ewww!! Better get some eco friendly slug bait very soon, am not having the same scenario as last year.
dancemum is there any chance the small bird could be a baby collar dove? They can get very tame if being fed. My baby dove waits for me on either the whirly gig or if it hears me in the bathroom it comes and sits on the window sill
Not sure what my plans are for today, as all my dashing about seems to have finished I intend on taking it easy for a while now. It sort of took it out of me being busy for two weeks on the trot, and having two kiddies parties within a week of each other. Luckily they won't be having for another year..lol. Hyper 4 year olds rushing around are not my idea of heaven..
Welcome to all the newbies, you'll love it here. We are all a [STRIKE]mad[/STRIKE] lovely bunch.
Piggers hope things aren't too bad re your building site. Hope you are feeling a bit better too, I know it's useless saying try and rest but do try and factor a little rest in between your hectic lifeHope squeak is starting to feel better from her ear infection.
Mumto5 huge hugs honey, sounds like you need them.
cy I hope your daughter is feeling better, fingers crossed it isn't a relapse.
Bossy huge hugs honey, as others have said you are on a journey and now and again you will hit the odd pot hole. It is okay to have a wobble now and again..please don't beat yourself up over it sweetie. Hope DD is okay, why would another child bite someone is beyond me. I do hope that other child got told off..
Dusty thank you for the link, unfortunately like LW I have a problem with getting natural VitD. Due to the high dosage of my mood stabilisers it means I am photosensitive (low tolerance) to sun so am unable to stay in it too long. I am taking multivitamins though which are helping, but a fair bit of the BD being around is actually my illness and the nature of it. Unfortunately it hits me badly when he is around, hence why I sometimes disappear off the radar for a while. But I do notice that when the sun is shining I am so much more inclined to want to do stuff more rather than when it is grey and miserable.
LW you are better than me, I can't even go out with the dogs walking them. Weird that as I can go to my "safe" zones i.e. Asda, library and my friends house, although I am always in the car when I go to these areas and know where it is and can run to it if necessary. The rest of the places I have to go with someone with me. I did try walking the dogs on my own but got so worked up with my paranoia I had to run them back home.. Yet saying that I can take them out at midnight or later as there is no-one around..lol
Rowantree hope you are feeling better now, and the tummy bug is on it's way out if it hasn't already taken a hike
Oooh Piggers I love your pegs, although I would be even happier if they were pinkand you do the same as me, put a colour on each side of the whirly gig
That reminds me I need to buy some more while out today with my friend in town.
Valli has a lot to answer for doesn't she..lol
ionafan hope your headache is easing. I hate migraines and normally only get them when I am having a bad Aunt Flo, I have found that Neuromoll helps me although not too much but just enough.
