  • Me too. Mine are 16 and nearly 19 and I remember those precious times feeding and cuddling and watching them when they fell asleep with their little mouths open and still sucking and then just staring at them (or falling asleep myself)

    I am so perimenopausal

its the rooting reflex, that always brings a smile to my face - just the little mouth wide open turning the head ferociously side to side before clamping down just in case it gets away :p

not so much fun if I doze off and she wants to clamp back on - wake up covered in baby bite marks
The cold never bothered me anyway

I knew it...if DS fails (on there) again I'm quite tempted to relocate test to Buxton...

That's a dreadful roundabout so few qualified drivers get right. Most mornings I am in the correct lane (honestly) and some twonk will be beside me (in the wrong lane) wanting the same exit as me...

Been to a school fundraiser. HM soup for tea went down well. Errand to do tomorrow; also LR, DR and kitchen - oh and the hallway.

Then I can spend the weekend marking and planning...

    Hi all

Hugs and spoons to all - I've read through the fred and can't remember who's in need of them :o so you can all have them

I'll second that. It's lovely to have so many virtual friends, but it takes an age to read!! Wed is my late working night anyway, and today was unusually late as 9.15 this morning we had the "Ofsted are coming" email. They're in all next week, and we've graciously been told that college will be open Sat and Sun in case anyone wants to come in and finish preparations. Yeah, right. So I spent till 6.30 filing and sorting all the gubbins on my desk, and have come home with a laptop trolley and box full of folders to check. I'm sure they are absolutely fine, but I'll feel happier if I go through them in my own time in my own place.

    Tomorrow's plan:
    - gym x 2
    - post office
    - dentist
    - finish digging bed for peas as the shoots are ......shooting fast in the greenhouse
    - Take photos of our pond as it needs a cleanout and new liner, so will be getting some quotes (you have to be really careful when you G00gle "Women with Waders" as opposed to....anything similar.)
I guess I'll look at some folders..........
Then whatever takes my fancy. Finishing off at the local Thai restaurant with friends.
And I'm probably the only one awake now!

  • Sorry to hear your DS hasn't passed this time around, Mummy - that roundabout sounds a nightmare!

Ionafan - how's your head tonight?

optimistic-mummy - did I read the word "Midwife"? Congratulations - well chuffed for you.

Pigpen - you seem to be doing an awful lot in spite of your crutches et al. I've been procrastinating about my pantry for a couple of weeks now, but feel quite lame in comparison to your progress. If you can do it, then I must do it to!

Had a really productive evening. Moved a new sofa into DS's room and tidied up in there with him. Sock bucket paired up. Bathroom scrubbed. All upstairs hoovered and mopped. WM x 2, TD x 2, some washing out on the line, dried and folded. Kids were tasked with a 25 item clearance each, so the house has 75 items rehomed to proper places. Laundry baskets now empty. Tidied up the fridge magnets and removed expired paper gibble.

Long day at work tomorrow (9-5) and DS has a football match at 6pm, so probably won't achieve too much, but we can but try to squeeze in HH something along the way.

    Night all.

    TMD xx

If I don't do it, well, it won't do itself!!!

Sitting in my chair hurts, moving hurts, lying down hurts, walking hurts.. so I may as well crack on and get stuff done.. I refuse to use the crutches in the house.. too many steps and too much crap to move properly so I shuffle about like I'm 90 and I am very very slow but stuff is starting to take shape..

This years summer task.. empty and bin the middle 'shed' I believe it is just soil underneath it so I shall get it to a decent quality and plant pretty flowers [STRIKE]for the cats to sleep in [/STRIKE] which I am certain the girlies will love. Of course this depends on a certain critter arriving a few weeks early (31st July is my mothers 60th birthday.. not that she even knows about the next instalment... and the 3 small girls are away the first week in August so that would be nice and convenient!)

Right.. bedtime for me.. just need to kick OH off the sofa where he is snoring!

    Morning all

Feeling very Fridayish and it's raining. Plan was to go shopping in St Albans but I CBA so a day of alternating flying and paperwork I think.

I'll get all the morning bits done then look at my rather long list.
