Why are you bringing a court of law into this? It's just a basic English term used by most normal people. Not a legal case!
Saying you are going for a pint for pretty much every normal intelligent person refers to a pint of beer (lager or bitter). It's the recognised definition of the word. Of course if you're pedantic you can claim it could also mean a pint of coke or pint of water etc, however it comes across as a bit needy and desperate.
Get pulled over by the police and tell them you've just drank 10 pints and see what the reaction isThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The term 'pint' also means this to most unintelligent people also.0 -
Can you not go to another pub. Sam Smiths are very traditional. Is there no Weatherspoons nearby.
They're happy for you to use your device to find them (http://mobilemarketingmagazine.com/content/smith-finder-pub-app-launches-iphone) but now while you're there? Crazy.0 -
It's why I had to unfortunately turn off my free WiFi, people coming in and buying a £1 cup of tea and sitting for hours on their laptops. Sometimes there would be a few of them with some not even buying anything. It's the few who abuse it that ruin it for everyone else.
Your not going to be a Starbucks thenDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
Don't Starbucks offer 1 hour free using a code printed on a receipt? Or was that never brought in?0

I'd go get a drink, then sit down and get my tablet out.
If they wanted to complain then I'd be rather loud about it, and call the press while there. I am sure they would love the publicity (They publish any old tripe).0 -

Not sure that the press would run out to cover a story about a man not being able to use his iPad in a pub. It doesn't strike me as being interesting. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
