Of course - I wondered if there was a rule about it somewhere, thats what I meant.
They have a fair idea of whats appropriate & whats concidered not, he feels at that age they should be in the private family facilities, as much for the boys sakes as the strange ladies.
There probably is a rule so ask the centre manager. If they don't have a rule and members are asking for clarification they can introduce one. Sorry to seem harsh but I can't see the point of asking here when our opinions hold absolutely no weight, you are just going to wind yourself up about the outrage of it all.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Fair enough.
In retaliation, you do something to them that's a heck of a lot worse than what they did to you.
Not fair enough.
Two wrongs and all that. Shift the clothes, but don't deliberately ruin the rest of someone's day to get your own back. Especially if they're just teenagers, we all got it wrong at times when we were that age.

When I was learning to swim, a long time ago, my local pool was an old Victorian place. The cubicles were round the pool and the communal showers were at each end of the pool. It worked really well and no need for separate changing rooms. My older two went to the same pool for lessons but the two younger ones went to a modern bells and whistles place. It had male and female changing rooms, in the female changing room there were some cubicles, a communal area and a separate communal area for families, well women with kids. I don't know what the male rooms were like. Personally it never bothered me if there were boys in the changing room, I would generally pull my costume down, dry my top half and then do the bottom half, which is partly covered by top. It wasn't as if I was doing cartwheels or walking round naked, just standing in one place getting dry and dressed. I suppose if someone was standing staring at me they would have had sight of my bits but generally other people were busy getting dressed or undressed as well.Sell £1500

In the gym it's not often a problem as there are more shower cubicles but in the pool area, as there's only two, I tend to wash my hair under the communal showers then nip into the enclosed shower to strip off for a quick body wash when it's busy.
This is what I do when facilities are available too. I then get dressed and walk back to use the swimming costume wringer thing dressed but without shoes/ socks on or, more likely, stuff he damp minting costume into a plastic bag I have taken with me for such purpose and sort it out at home.0 -

I have asked at the pool, it's aged 8.
I wasnt asking for the rule I was asking if people considered it appropriate.0 -
I do the same when people put towels on chairs at poolside cafes and disappear too though.
I did this in the pool at a caravan site once (moved the stuff off a chair so I could sit down) and the owner climbed out of the pool to berate me. I pointed out I'd moved them to a dry area of the floor and did she really think people should stand so that her towel could have a seat. She was finally dragged away by her embarrassed husband still screaming like a banshee :rotfl:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Ironically I've just spoken to my health club (private hotel), they have said that the upper age is 7. The gentleman I spoke to was the club manager and he has said that they have recently had a couple of women questioning the age. Consequently they are going to have a sign made up for the changing room door. I am happy with that.0

The rule might be 8 for being in the opposite-sex changing room, but might they consider changing the rules slightly to ask that parents of children over um, what do you think, 5? use the family change cubicles instead of the communal one.
That way, they're not pushing children who still need a parent out into the other changing room, simply keeping them out of the communal bit.
Personally I don't think it would bother me, but my 7 year old said recently that he likes males and females being split up when they go for their school lessons, and around their 7th birthdays he and his female friend started requesting separate cubicles when we take them for their private lessons. I actually think that his female friend wouldn't like to have 7 or 8 year old boys in the same communal area that she was using, and what if there weren't enough family cubicles for her to use? We pretty much run to the pool after school so there's no way of either putting her costume on beforehand, or hanging around to wait for a cubicle. The lesson is on quite soon after school, and I don't drive.52% tight0 -
I've not been able to read the whole thread but I just strip off and get changed, even on a beach! Since childbirth I don;t care who sees my body!
I certainly wouldn;t care about 8yo boys in a changing room.
I think we all need to have less hang ups about our bodies. Now I have a daughter I try to model body confidence and be proud of my body. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
