Slightly different for females and their female children I think. Does your Dad do the same when you are there?0 -

No, that's true, and I have no idea if she shuts the door for my brother's benefit. She didn't when we were teenagers but I've not paid attention to notice when/if she started.
An 8 year old isn't a grown up though, I don't think its particularly odd or worrying for a boy that age to share a toilet cubicle with his mum at a busy event where it'd be easy to get separated.0 -

For the length of time it takes;) I would have asked my son to wait by the door, and we would have taken turns.0 -

I've done that in the past, infact would do that normally if it ere a cafe or restaurant. But my son is quite an anxious little boy, he gets stressed when there are alot of people about, so when it's busy or a place he does not know well I'll go in at his request, also if we are in a hurry I will share a toilet cubicle with him or even with my girls!0 -

I think it's fine for an 8 year old & his mum to change in front of each other.
But I don't think he would want to change in front of other ladies or other ladies would want to change in front of him.0 -

My DD would have been clawing down the door at that age if I'd suggested it. Stripping off is one thing, having to stand right next to your mum while she has a pee (or worse) would be a step too far for her. It would have to be utter mayhem directly outside the toilet door before I insisted on her staying inside with me, and I'd be less than happy about it too.Val.0 -

Every family is different, I suppose.0 -
