Just popped in to say Hi after my quick look at you all the other night when we were back from Spain.

Big 60th party for DH tomorrow and huge food shopping done. Forgot all about a birthday cake and a quick dash to M&S (in office time!!!) today sorted that one out. Got the one with the balloons on it. Thank goodness I have really good work colleagues who are more than happy to cover for me.

Well 7 weeks today, hope to be Granny to Finlay. DD did huge shop for salad stuff for party today and is starting to feel a wee bit tired and grumpy! She keeps coming up with even more things she is going to prepare for tomorrow and I keep telling her we can feed the 5 thousand, never mind the 40 odd coming tomorrow.

Hope you are all OK. Congrats to celebrations and so sorry if anyone having a really hard time.

I logged on to Madeleine's site today and left a message of support. I just can't imagine the torment that poor family are going through.

Will try and be more regular with keeping up once this weekend over.

DH on way back from airport picking up DS and partner from Ireland - can't wait to see them (GB has tears in her eyes - she misses her kids at home!)

    Love and hugs to all.

Hi - me again. You may remember last Saturday I posted in a very excitable fashion (no, Colin Firth had not stayed for breakfast!) to say that Lloyds-pain-in-the-TSB had offered slightly more than we had claimed on one of the accounts we have been claiming on. We sent the letter of acceptance within about five minutes of receiving the offer and, today, they put the money into the account. In view of the worrying case this week where someone lost against them, I was wondering whether or not they would pay up but - today - they did! I have checked the account almost on the hour all week and they obviously hung on for as long as they could and put it in about half an hour ago! Shame - I was so looking forward to sending in the bailiffs! Still, I shall submit my 'wasted costs' invoice now! Just one more account to go!

    See ya!

Hi, was feeling more upbeat today but have recieved some bad news on an email support list for parents who have kids with type 1 diabetes, i have gotton to know a lot of them via their posts about their children.

Sadly one of the girls, only 12 passed away the other night in her sleep, her mum found her face down on her pillow, no one knows how she died, i pray that it wasnt her diabetes, this has scared me a lot and i am glad ds1 never got to chat to her, sounds terrible but i dont want to explain this to him as it would upset him too much.

I am feeling very upset at mo, it would have been her birthday in the next couple of days, and i really feel for her family and what they are going through.

Sorry havent read thread yet, maybe later

    Hugs
