    Good Afternoon All

Im so glad to have finish work today, been really tired and hard to stay awake. I offered to work OT, but I couldnt face doing it today! So left at my normal time.

OH will finish work soon, not sure what our evening plans will be, I fancy going somewhere instead of staying at home and doing the usual, but I just dont have the energy to do anything.

Remember my stalker from a while ago from freecycle. She's returned. Bless her. I put an offer on off some household bits (mum's clearance stuff from her house move) she responded. She's still not had the keys (typical council for dragging their heels) anyway, I said once mum has finished sorting out, I will take them up for her. She seems nice. I dont think I have anything to worry about!

My brother had his american embassy visa interview today, all went well, and he;s got it. Hopefully by the end of July, he'll be moving out to Florida! Im so pleased for him! :j here comes the cheap holidays now! Well as cheap as it can be I guess!

Spiddy - that was certainly fast service ref the passport, Ive just about filled mine in, hope to post that soon.
Shez - (((hugs))) to you and your DS. Im sure its nothing to do with your mothering skills, I no at times we do feel as if we've let the kids down. Its easy to say but you have to make the most of bad situations, this is something telling him that the job wasn't right, and Im sure with your help/support and encouragment, will get him back on track. The right job is out there for him, he's got to believe in himself to get it! Good luck! I hope the confidence CD will help him along. The cd's sounds great. Im interested in the slimming one, so let me know your'e results. I too have difficulty sleeping at times. But when I do have a deep sleep - I feel worse for it. How's it affecting you in the day? (if it does) I have a sit down job, and when you stare at a pc all day, your eyes get tired, like today, Ive been really tired and hard to focus! And its hard stopping myself from yawning when speaking to customers.
moiliere thanks for the tip ref the books etc for amazon. I will eventually get round to checking it out one day! Just not enough hours in the day.

Ive lost 2 full size loo rolls today, by dropping them down the loo. What a waste. Im so clumsy!

Right for a sit down put my feet up for a bit
    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

    Afternoon everyone!

Dentist went well yesterday. I had a chipped filling which needed fixing. Hygienist told DH he needs to come at least every six months. I'd already decided we're going to go every four months... less pain for him that way!

Lunch with friend was excellent, but I always suffer the after effects of too much wine at lunchtime, so had to go to bed early.

Rotary airer collapsed on DH this morning. It hasn't been well for a while, goes saggy all of a sudden. Today, it started to sag while I was hanging out the washing, so my towels were touching the lawn. DH was mowing the grass at the time so I decided to wait til he'd finished. Unfortunately, he mowed underneath it and it collapsed completely and irreversibly on him.

Got a new one on order, couldn't get the one i wanted in any of the real shops, so I'll be lineless for a few days. Never mind, it was much cheaper on line anyway.

Having a bit of a swish and swipe, as it's possible DS1 will pop over tomorrow with his Aussie MIL. She's very posh (husband is a retired Diplomat) and so I want the house to be clean and tidy.

Currently have washing all over the house due to collapse of rotary airer, so hope it dries soon.

Popped to local farm shop to stock up on chicken for freezer, got some lovely lamb chops and some spare rib pork for the freezer too.

Dinner tonight will be Parmesan Baked Chicken, and I'll save half of mine to have with salad tomorrow. I'll have lots of healthgy veg to help me fill up.

Hope DH pops to pub at 5 as I want to go to the gym. I think I'll have to give in and tell him about it so I don't have to sneak around any more!

    Have a lovely evening all
    xxxxx
    Hazel

PS Crazychick - as long as there wasn't any, er, waste in the loo you don't need to throw the loo rolls away. Just stick them in the airing cupboard to dry. They'll be a funny shape but will be perfectly useable.

Having quickie with my coffee and before the lads get home.

Whipped up a batch of fudge when I got home so that's in the fridge setting; sliced the meatloaf which was in the fridge and it seems ok - which is a relief ... got tied up with a phone call last night and forgot it was in the oven :o It's a well brown colour on top and I suppose you would call it a "crust" :rotfl: but the rest of it is ok and slices beautifully :D So, that's tea sorted then.

Was given a really large portion of chocolate fudge cake today by one of my friends (from her daughters birthday party yesterday). I am soooo trying to resist the urge to eat it (yet!). I'll save it for when I get back tonight I think

N9eav - I had a neighbour drive his car through my front fence and into my front room a few years back now  (I'd have let him via the door if he'd only rung the flippin bell!) I also put in a claim for my pot and plants. I think we got about £500 too and I asked my insurance company if that was fair and they agreed it was a typical amount to be offered for that sort of compensation. So, very well done :T Enjoy your spending spree :D:D

The stupid thing is they've all admited that the problem is my gall bladder mainly but because there's no stones they won't take it out it's only inflammed the other problem with my stomach cannot be cured (it produces to much acid and destroy's the lining) but if they removed the gall bladder it would help that too as there would be no bile and the pills would do the rest

    Hi again!

Shez - sorry about your DS and his job, we're in the same position wioth our DS17 too, he had what we thought was a promising job as a trainee web designer and has just been told there's not enough work for him anymore so now he's unemployed. His boss was a shady character though, never gave DS a contract of employment or any wage slips despite being contimually asked for them by my DS. Not sure what he's entitled to claim if anything but he has applied for one position.Should hear next week if he's got any chance.Hope your DS soon gets something.
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hi all! Have just done the school and nursery run because DIL just not well enough, poor thing. She was a pretty vile shade of green when I saw her. She thinks it’s the tail end of yesterday’s migraine and she gets those because she has something wrong with her iron levels and has to have a jab every three months; just before the next jab is due she always feels unwell – I do wish they could get the treatment right for her. She eats well and has plenty of iron-rich meat and veg so it seems unfair that she has this problem. Still, it’s the weekend and DS1 will come home from work early to look after her. The children are really good; they’ve been very lucky with both of them and, when I left them, they were all cuddled up on the sofa – bless! Will give her a ring a bit later. I couldn’t believe how much ‘luggage’ children have to take to school these days! No wonder there are more back problems nowadays. I had to make two trips backwards and forwards from the car just to get all their stuff out! Whatever happened to having your own desk? I’m really showing my age, now! When I was at school, the teachers did the moving around and the children stayed in the same classrooms and kept their books in their own desks!
Well, it has been a hectic day really; after my last post on here, I got on with packing the fruit and veg away but have eaten most of the cherry tomatoes because one fell out of the bag and I couldn’t resist it – I think there’s two left and they were supposed to be part of my meal plan for tomorrow! I bought some lovely ruby red Williams pears as well – I haven’t seen those before. They have such a lot more choice in the farm shops.
I then finished giving the house a good clean top to bottom; have got three loads of washing dry because it’s been warm and breezy; the baking I’ve put on hold until tomorrow or Sunday because I simply ran out of time before school coming-out time.
I have one item that has just sold on eBay and three more to go this afternoon so fingers crossed! Have posted the book that sold on Amazon today so that’s another job done. Chicken casserole has defrosted and will be dinner with some lovely Jersey Royal pots so that won’t be too taxing for my poor tired brain!
PATENTGIRL – my DS2 has lost three friends in five years; the first one had an illness – he was only eighteen, the next one came off his motorbike and the last one crashed into a new roundabout that has been so badly designed that it has become the accident blackspot it was supposed to avoid. Now and again I drive that way and cannot believe that, a year later, they still haven’t done anything about it. I’m going to start complaining next week and, when I complain, I generally get results! I got some fencing put up in the local play area near our last house to make it safer for the children because it was so close to the road and I was also heavily involved in getting traffic-calming put in in what was once a lovely quiet road but which had turned into the main route for about three hundred lorries a day; oh, and I got some dangerously overhanging branches removed from some trees in the same road that had been bashed into by the lorries! The branches were hanging down like great big icicles and it was just waiting for an accident. With that complaint, they came out within the hour to sort it out! I think it was because I said someone would get killed if they didn’t.
Anyway, (((hugs))) to your DS – you really feel for them, don’t you? And it’s too shocking and raw to be able to do anything except be there for them. My DS and his friends have raised money each time and bought a bench with a plaque on it to put in the local rec. Every year they put flowers on the bench and I think that helps a lot.
CRAZYCHIK – congrats to your bro! Roll on Florida, I’d say!!
DANNAHAZ – my DH needs the hygienist every six months and he hates it – says he’d rather have all his teeth out. I only need it occasionally and it doesn’t hurt me at all! Regarding your clandestine visits to see Jim – does OH even suspect, do you think?
MRS MIX – you poor thing; I was hoping your hospital visit would be constructive but obviously not. My sister had her gall bladder out when she was in her twenties; she also has just been diagnosed with arthritis and they are still trying to get the medication right. They had put her on pain patches which helped a little but, one day last week, she was in such pain that she put two on instead of one and found that really effective and the pain relief lasted longer. She expected the doctor to tell her off but, instead, he has doubled the prescription; sometimes you know your own body far better than a doctor! I do hope your troubles can at least be diagnosed and treated effectively. (((hugs))) to you.
I suppose I had better go and get on with something; DH will be home soon and I just want to get dinner eaten and cleared away and then I will just chill and knit – if I can stay awake, that is!
Hope you have all had a good day and that you will all have a lovely evening! Will look in later.
