Morning.
Have a great hoilday Donny-gal.
Looks like no rain here today either, fingers crossed as want to get a white wash and a coloured wash done, and on line.
The grass has grown so much desperatly needs cutting but need a good few days of sunshine before that can be done.
Ds1 last SAT this morning, maths paper 2, i will be so pleased when its over for him, although since monday night he has been as cool as a cucumber about it all.
Tea tonight is bangers and mash, and want to make a pudding for a treat not sure what yet.
Ironing still needs doing, and need to write up some notes regarding this heathly packed lunch at school, me and another mum plan to go in on monday morning armed with evidence that our kids lunch are just as healthy as the kids that are taking next to nothing in just to get their healthy eating stickers!!!
Plan on working out Kcal content of my kids lunch boxes compaired to what the kids say others are getting rewarded for. Arhh i get so worked up when your parenting skills are questioned, which is what i feel this is, the kids are being rewarded/punished for what their parents pack them up.!!
Anyway off for a quick read

Morning Guys!
Hope everyone is well. I am feeling a little better today and abit more upbeat:D
Today looks lovely and a washload is already on the line, another is in the WM. DW needs to go on later and toilet has been cleaned. Cleaner did another good clean this week and apreciate all her help.
Ive managed to get half my essay done-still another 800 words, but we are going out this morning for a drive as I need to get out the house apart from a hospital visit:rolleyes:
OH popped out yesterday as I needed some meds from Boots and he bagged some bargains;) Chapsticks in packets reduced to 14p, so he bought all 5 packets as they will be used as Miss PP is always pouting her lips and glossing them:eek:    also some protein bars to 25p and normally £1.90 each!
We have been invited to friends on Saturday for dinner which will be nice. She has a gorgeous little 4 yr old and is preggers again-due in September. I'm hoping they will be on their best behaviour as the couple are always arguing and I mean badly. He is half spanish and she is half west indian so they are both quite direct but can come across as rude sometimes.
OH had his ECG done and it shows some irregularity, but need to hear back from the GP with blood results which should be next week before we know exactly whats up. I think he will have high cholestorol, so he will have to moderate his food more...that will be fun!
Anyway, I had better go and get dressed/washed.
Hugs to all.

Good morning all.
Another grey looking day here at the moment, although it brightened up last night, and DH did a bit of gardening. Put the poles up for some runners, and put some tomato plants in. He's feeling pleased with himself because he's bought on a couple of squashes, which he's never done before. I'm pleased because I'd like to have a go at some butternut squash soup (it is butternut squash isn't it?) We only have a small bit of garden so can't grow a lot. want to learn more about growing stuff in containers. I did have a book somewhere, but can't find it. Shal have to have a good look. Am thinking about getting a book I've seen on Amazon called Container gardening, or something like that. I have to make a shamefull admission though. I'm not a natural gardener, in fact, I seem to kill plants off at an alarming rate :-( No natural green fingers on my body lol.
I ought to do a bit of baking today, although don't really feel like it at the moment. Still haven't attacked the ironing (sigh) Still a bit of laundry to do. That is a never ending task, and the living room needs a vacum. I still have my shopping list to do up and have my weekly shop later.
Tonight I shall "chill out" lol.
Have a blessed and prosperous day everyone.0 -

Good morning everyone
Only a little grey here this morning, not looking as bad as the rest of the week.
Maybe today I will plant out poor little seedlings that have been patiently waiting on the window sil for weeks. Will probably bake a cake to take away with us this weekend and do some ironing. Have cleaned the bathroom this morning and the kitchen is all clean.
Sorry for your DD about the newt catowen
Glad you feel better PenPin
Have a great day and weekend (if I don't make it back ) x0 -
Morning all
DG have a great holiday.
Cat I had to laugh about the newt, that's the sort of thing that would happen in this house too.
Long day again here, won't get home until about 6.30 if I am lucky. So tonight looks as though it will be a takeaway but as I am down £25 in my wages I am hoping that I can find something quick to cook for us all. I'm going to try some batch cooking this weekend so I can stop messing about at night.
I must get out tomorrow and buy some new clothes, I've dropped to a size 12 and all my trousers are dropping off me so I'll do a raid of the charity shops.0 -
its so dark here I've got the lights on. looks like it is going to pour down any minute.
today must make effort to get essay finished. just about had panic attack earlier when computer refused to start - I didn't have a back up copy of my essay. DS sorted it and the first thing I did was send myself a copy of my essay to my email accountI normally email myself copies as I go along and for some reason I hadnt done it with this essay.
hopefully there is enough food in the fridge to feed us tonight.
had hoped to do some gardening today too, but that doesnt look very promising. got a bargain at Homebase yesterday. large dicentra was priced at £4.99 but scanned at £2.49. I did point it out to the assistant but he said it was okx x x0 -
Morning everyone
Have a great holiday donny-gal Can you bring some sunshine back with you please?
jet hope you get the "bad" stuff sorted soon and start to feel a bit better.
mrs mix hope you and DS2 feel better soon.
(((hugs))) to those who need one. I have read everyone's posts but there is just too much information to take in - though it seems as though most of us have NO OS plans today! I will be joining the "no-cooking, no-cleaning" brigade today.
DD finishes her SATs today then the class are having a party to celebrate. She is really looking forward to it.
Must check if the latest book I sold on Green Metropolis is recorded as received now. It was sent on 8th May. I hope the buyer has just forgotten to log that it has been received.
Off to B&Q before work as I heard on the radio yesterday that they are having a sale today and have an internal door for £10. As I need four of them that would be a massive saving.
Have a fabulous Friday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
