Busier than they expected I reckon! Funny that they send the forms out second class, (ours took ten days), then soon enough send another letter asking for the form back, then say they are taking longer than expected.
Anyone else think they creating an audit trail, made to look good if you look back at it?
or just playing daft, I got this letter with the one where is your complaints form,0 -

Found this on a mortgage website.I guess the highlighted bit is the kind of deals that are most affected by this.
"The duration of the penalty period varies from mortgage to mortgage, though a great many products have no early redemption charges whatsoever. There is frequently a trade-off between getting a competitive interest rate for a lengthy fixed or discounted period and making yourself vulnerable to early redemption charges. Sometimes, however, there is an overhang, where the redemption period extends beyond the introductory offer. Where there are 'extended' redemption penalties, you can be tied in to paying the uncompetitive Standard Variable Rate (SVR) for a period of time after the introductory offer period, as the lender seeks to recoup some of the cost of offering you such a competitive rate."0 -
afternoon, I am just wondering if I should send Santander another letter saying I have two mortgages (55k 15K) and second one is on a svr, or should I just wait for my reply from questionnaire , then tell them?0

My personal thought is leave it until you hear from them. They of all people should be able to keep track of who has borrowed what........wait. Oh, dear.
Seriously though, keep hold onto that until they get back to you.0
