Monsoon Complaint

I'm not sure why you left the store without the discount. I would have asked them to ring head office and sort it out then and there. You need to decide whether you want the items without the 15% discount, if not I would return them for a full refund and not shop at Monsoon again. Lesson learned for next time, is not to leave the store until it's sorted, if they are telling you to phone head office ask for them to let you use the phone in the store to do this.
Might be worth a well worded letter or email to Chief executive letting them know that you are a loyal customer and why you are considering returning the clothes and not shopping with them again. Don't threaten them with the press, and make sure you leave them with the impression that a suitable positive response from them would make you reconsider and give them another chance.0 -
Thanks LittleMax for your advise.
As I said more than once to the girl on the phone, I had no intention of going to the press but because I said the word 'press' the conversation could not continue. All I wanted and which I clearly tried to explain is the 15% discount without it costing me more money eg parking.
I have never felt the need in the past to complain like this about any company and I expected better from a brand that is meant to pride itself on quality.
As you can see over 100 people have read my complaint on here and 220 on Facebook. I have also put it on other forums that I can't see the reader numbers. I now feel less angry through being able to vent my anger like this and at least a few hundred people know what bad customer service I have received.
I still feel like I will never shop in monsoon ever again as it has totally made me look at the brand in a bad light.Sealed Pot Challenge #6010 -

I mentioned that I felt they were falsely encouraging people in he store as the discounts were not being honoured and it's false advertising and the press should know.Little_Miss_Naughty wrote: »To be honest I never said I would go to the press
If I was on the recieving end of that phone call I would be pretty sure that your first comment was a threat to inform the press.0 -
Thank you to all that have responded and to those who sent PM's with advise. The majority advised a letter to the CEO focusing on the original problem of not getting the 15% and I have written that ready for posting tomorrow. I don't expect it will ever get that far but maybe the area manager or someone in management may get to hear of my problem within store.
I feel better for the vent and that's what makes this forum great. I know now that I should have insisted the store manager dealt with it there and then but hind site is a wonderful thing. Not normally complaining or wanting to make a fuss I trusted the manager when I was told that call to customer services would see the 15% being refunded to my card.
Thanks again everyone who has taken the time to respond and message me.Sealed Pot Challenge #6010 -
in these situations I often find a caustic comment or two on the company's facebook page gets a reply - as an "old Fart" it took me some time to grasp the whole fb phenomenon - but now- crappy service- I am straight onto FB
to be fair- good service I am also straight onto FB to give credit where it is due- something I had the pleasure of doing yesterday for some fantastic service I received from a company0 -
If I were you I'd email their customer service department. You might end up with a voucher for the 15% off. Whenever I've had a problem I've emailed and been sent a voucher to make up for it.
You don't have to waste any petrol and it usually lasts a year.
Just be short and sweet - I went to buy things with a promised 15% discount and was refused. I have lost £5 because of this and I am obviously unhappy with the experience. I was told by staff in store that I would receive my discount later. I called customer services and was told I'd have to go back to the store within a week to receive this. This would make me out of pocket due to petrol and parking. Please send me a voucher for £5.70
This is my receipt number: xxxxxxxxx
Thank you
Try that and let us know what they say!
