Hurrah! You saved money and got the news quicker since you didn't have to wait for it to be forwarded.
And with the few hundred you saved, I'm sure you can afford the £45 to sort out the DA.
Sympathies about the decorating - I moved into my new flat a year ago (where did that time go?) and still need to redecorate. It's an ex crack den with a black wall in the living room, poo brown walls in the hallway, some grafitti in the kitchen, and various stains... My own legal battle finally ended a few weeks ago so now I can afford to redecorate, yay!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
They have confirmation that the solicitors evidence is on it's way to them. They anticipate it'll take 2 to 3 weeks to review the case so I hope to have a judgment or outcome by the end of October?Regards

Really good news on all fronts then - you made it out the other end (relatively) unscathed

I note that in your previous letter (7 May 2015) you statedthat your client has instructed you to apply for the Decree Absolute once thecourt has approved the Financial Remedy Order. The order was approved on22nd September 2015, I received a copy on 26th September2015. I trust you were also in receipt of the approved order at thistime?
Below I have four questions that I would like your responseto please:1) Pleasecould you confirm that the Decree Absolute has been applied for?
2) Please indicate the schedule of events you expect from now including what andwhen I may be required to take any action, such as signing any document?
Section 9 of the Financial Remedy Order lists 5 ‘trigger’events that would end the ‘Spousal Periodical Payments’.
3) Howwill I be notified of one of these events occurring?
4) Whatevidence will I be provided with to prove that a trigger event has not occurred(e.g. pay slips to prove net income less than £1,200pcm) ?
Thank you for your attention to this request.
Regards

Ironically having sent email to her solicitor in the morningwhen I got home last night I had a letter from the court which I think is the absolutebut not having seen one before. The firstpage said the following:
Beforedistrict Judge……..on 1st October 2015
EX PART
IT IS ORDEREDTHAT
Leave grantedfor decree absolute to be issued out of time
Then the 2nd page said the following:
Referring tothe decree made in this cause on 21st November 2013, whereby it wasdecreed that the marriage solemnised on …etc
…be dissolvedunless sufficient cause be shown to the court within six weeks from the makingthereof why the said decree was on the 2nd October 2015, made finaland absolute and that the said marriage was thereby dissolved.
Date 2ndOctober
So I think as of 2nd of October I’m officiallyand legally divorced !!!
Just the dispute with my solicitor being investigated bylegal ombudsman which the estimate will be complete by end of October.
Thanks everyone for your support, it has been a tough journeybut one I couldn’t have made without your support. Support that has been encouraging, friendly, informative and caring. All your viewshave equipped me with greater wisdom, given me the strength and endeavour toproceed.
Thank you everyone you haveinspired me. :T
