Managed to go through to the alarm without any sleep last night. Feel wide awake and fine at work but very anxious. Viewed a few houses last night just got down about the whole situation and can't see any light at the end of the long tunnel.
    Regards

Feel even more concern when I read and re-read your post:

You have such courage [too much], such decency [too much] and you're past needing any more 'magic wand' wishes and posts, however much we mean them.

If we feel helpless re: lack of remedy, just for now we'll join you there too.

-and off I'll go, with a near 8000 majority to overturn, but that doesn't stop me trying, while also ferrying opposing vote near neighbour to polls next week.

    Life, Jack:-)

I am so sorry to read this post Jack.

All I can say is that THERE is light at then end of this very long dark tunnel.

I think the suggestion of visiting your GP is very sensible.

We, human beings can only cope with so much and you have had so much to contend with for a very long time that it is only natural that things catch up with you.

Please don't look upon this as a weakness, You have proved over the years that you are a honest, kind and caring person.

Hope you have a better nights sleep tonight and look after yourself.

    Take care.

It's just a dip Jack, after a period of prolonged stress and anxiety, I'm surprised that you sleep at all, never mind having a sleepless night once in a while.

You know that you will get through this, one way or another. If the bill is still worrying you, open the bloody thing, cry/shout/scream/punch a cushion and then accept that you'll be paying it and move past it. You know that you've probably got quite a good case for claiming some of your money back from your solicitors so remember that when you're writing out yet another cheque.

The price of freedom...it's never cheap but you know that even if you're living in a tiny flat, with deckchairs to sit on and an wooden crate to eat your dinner off of, you'll be free at last. Maybe you'll still be financially tied to her for a few years, but emotionally, you'll be your own man. And she's the one who will have to live with the fact that she is almost entirely financially dependant on a man who cares nothing for her and who holds her in contempt.

If she can sleep easy whilst knowing that, then good luck to her. Let's hope she enjoys it while it lasts.
