  • STOP negotiating!!!! it hasnt ever worked, it isnt working still and will never work. just let it go to court. if you had done that in the first place, you may have saved yourself a lot of money. you need solicitor who will go for the jugular!!!!! your wife clearly seems to have one!!!

yes it will cost, but in the long run.........

this could still be going on in 5 years time the way its all going.

DO NOT pay her rent, where ever she is living. she is capable of doing this for herself. oh, and i live on the south coast. there is lots of work here. and not just summer season work. but of course, you have to WANT to work to get yourself a job!!!!! and they way things are at the moment, why the hell should she as long as you are footing the bill for everything????? the way YOU are going, you will end up bankrupt!!!! literally!!! and im sure that you dont want that. get off your a*s* and start shouting at people!!!! firstly, at a good solicitor. stop looking at things to do to save money. (and you DONT pay her legal costs, she does that, out of her settlement).

she does NOT get a bigger part of the house because of the kids, because they ARE NOT kids!!!!!! and you need to tell the solicitor that the 'kids' were previously/may still be, living away from the family home!!!! not read the whole thread, but if you havent already done so, get your name off of everything!!!!!!

when my husband came out of prison, he had a bank card that was out of date - 2 years out of date. i didnt change the account because i thought he couldnt do anything with an out of date bank card. how wrong was I??? he walked into the bank with the out of date card and his passport and they let him empty my account!!!!! because it still had his name on, even though the card was out of date!!!!!!

please please please, start thinking like a grown up!!!!!

Did I read that she applied for a librarian job? Whenever I've seen jobs in libraries advertised, they always ask for specific (library related) qualifications. Not surprised she didn't get it if she doesn't have those.

Yes you did read that comment correctly.

She has a nerve and also her solicitor is either very thick or trying to take the p*ss.

13 weeks to court case, please pass quickly for Jacks sake.

Thanks for your views and support, not sure what you can expect me to do, I expressed to my solicitor that I’m not negotiating and will leave it to the court to decide. The judge expects to see proposals made which I have previously submitted, I’ve provided financial disclosure statements on time. There will be a reaction when I reduce the voluntary payments this month as you’ve seen in the letter from her solicitor.
Had a nice afternoon with my daughter sorted out a few DIY things in the flat walked for a lunch of her choice and got some food shopping she needed for the week.
    Regards

I expect so, but you never know, it may motivate her to actually pull her finger out and actually seriously look for work, rather than applying for unrealistic jobs that she has no chance of getting.

Glad you are spending some quality time with your daughter Jack. You sound like a great Dad :)
