Not a great deal to update on. I got a credit report which showed that I’d made late payments but as the items were direct debit I can’t understand why. I wrote to Experian and they contacted the companies who believe the report is accurate, so I’ve now got to contact them to find out what’s happened. Also the other reason for bad credit rating is having £16K on unsecured loans (credit cards).

My son has managed to get a job at a holiday camp near where he lives with his grandparents, so at least he’s got an income to run his car. He only has to go to college 3 days a week so works 4 hours in the morning and can work up to 16 hours a week.

My ex and the children have just been away for a weeks holiday with the ex’s parents to Madeira.
I’m still having Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a Psychologist, to help me find some hope for the future. Not so sure they are helping me but I’m trying.

    Regards

At least you have a partial explanation even if it is a right burger sorting it out.

As your lawyer to point out to the ex-wife that your credit rating is now pants.

Hope the CBT works. In the mean-time do think about the 5 good things a day thread as justing noting the positives in our lives does help a bit, even if it is only having a good sleep.

    Hugs

stick with it mate, it often gets worse before it gets better with CBT

No I have disputed them and this has been reflected in the detail but it doesn't improve credit rating so stuck with that.

Rental coming to end of 12 months in July and have been sent revised rental costs going up by £80/month so need to decide to stay there for another 6 months or to find somewhere cheaper?

Alternatively you could ask them to let you go periodic? That means you need to give one month's notice tied in with rental dates but at least you have a choice of 5 or 8 months, whatever you need.

It may be better to ask the LL as agencies are rather keen on their renewal fees.

Tx for updates , was thinking about you a few days ago(I know , sad me :)) , just have not got to finding this thread and telling you. Well suppose once the house is sold it will clear the debts.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

Maybe but credit ref remains bad for some time even if you clear debts so getting mortage more difficult.
