Excellent idea RAS, suggesting Jan 2013 as start of time at new address.

Jack, you must speak to one of the money help bodies. You know my preferred one, as endorsed and praised by Martin, is CAP. Just a first call... please.

    01274 760720.

I will look back later to see how you are in yourself, perhaps hear where you're inclined to be for crimbo. Well done to son[hoping he'll have the grace to thank you himself for making it possible]=no more lessons to be paid by you, or further financial input of a motoring kind:eek:

Big caring hugs from this ancient crone, Jack.

Apologies as posts with similar thoughts are crossing.

Is CAP really appropriate for my situation?

Well you are under increasing financial stress. Personally I think it might be not quite necessary yet, but I also think telling your solicitor, her solicitor and the courts that you are close to the end of the rope financially would be a good idea.

And this is one way of getting a dispassionate assessment. Like what happens if you cannot get new 0% deals?

And how to sort out your credit rating ASAP?

    Just got this reply:

Thank you for getting in touch.

At present we are unable to update your electoral roll information. The new electoral register, which will include any changes made during the annual canvas will be published in February 2014. Equifax will get this register from all the UK local authorities/councils when it is published. We cannot load future information and have to wait until this information is supplied to us.

You’ll find more information about your credit report at: https://www.equifax.co.uk/help. If you have a question, you should find the answer in our FAQ section. If not, you can send us an online query, and attach your documents to it – no need to worry about them getting lost or delayed in the post.

I hope you find this useful. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

    Kind regards

    Equifax Electoral Roll Team
    Regards

It may be a blessing in disguise. If you have no money they can not come for it. If you speak to debt money counselling people there will be a record of you doing so which you can forward to your solicitors /courts.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

I visited my local council when I wanted my name on electoral role and filled in the form without waiting for their forms sent out annually

    Weekly roll call post,Jack.
Hoping that you've made a decision to spend comfortable copable time with people who care about you, exact nothing from you, have no agenda but to let you find new contentment for a few days.
Do join them. You've been invited. They want you.

My version: if you could have lost yourself last night in London with Tim Minchin at Koko, you would be memory banked to the gunwhales. He was in stunning form.
You will learn to give yourself these moments Jack.

Caring thoughts and a glass of festive...

Had a breakthrough with my son, who was back home Wednesday, I went round to take my daughter some presents. He had written me a card, so I had a few words with him just thanked him for the card and congratulated him on his driving test. He said thanks and smiled at me. I didn’t push it, left it a that as it’s the first time we’ve had any communication exchange since April.

I’m going to St.Ives today to stay with a friend until boxing day, he’s a windsurfing mate so we’re planning get on the water as the forecast is windy! Then I’ll go to my parents for a few days, back home for new year.

Solicitor has offered me a 5% above base rate loan to pay their bill?
