Thanks for all your continued support.
Dr is referring me to Psychiatrist to do assessment as my medical insurance needs this in order to fund counselling (hope I got the right spelling of that?).
She also put me on an older style antidepressant (Amitriptyline), as all the others I tried haven’t worked. I took some last night and did have a bit more sleep than normal. May go to the cinema with my daughter tonight. Trying to find the motivation to do my exercises and go for a run.
Food wise don’t worry I eat well, probably too well, I’m over my normal weight at the moment.Regards

Cinemas will be busy tonight -some of them are doing a "live" as in same time as BBC1 showing of Day of the Doctor in 3D. (Son is taking me but has his eye on a meal at nice Mexican before so no doubt it'll cost me LOL)
Glad the sleeping improved a bit..... may be just going to the doc and feeling you are doing something about it helped with it. (Spelling was fine btw)

:TA* for spelling:D
I can't be out without book or kindle somewhere about me.
The run, the exercises must not become more Jack obligations. Lower the perception - coat on, off for a wander/ small drive to space/a somewhere/ gatherings in which to lose self. Treat money for a coffee somewhere. Go to cinema regardless.
It's very early days for Jack alone by choice, rather than Jack alone in marriage - this is your powerful, life-enhancing path, correct and courageous.

I've been reading your thread JackRS since the beginning and whilst I have no experience or practical knowledge to offer I do feel for you.
I hope you have a lovely time at the cinema tonight with your daughterWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
I know the Dr put you on it but please be aware of the side effects of Amitriptalyne (prob wrong spelling - sorry). DH was on this & it made him scarily spaced out & forgetful. Not sure what dose he was on.
Hopefully it will work for you & I wish you the best...Debts 07/12/2021

Well I did my exercises and run but didn't go to cinema with daughter she wasn't well so looking at next weekend. I did manage to repair my vac, I bought a dyson from a car boot for £20 that packed up after 3 months (no surprise) so ordered a new motor off ebay for £15, took forever to remove the old one and fit the new but did it and it works a treat so did upstairs and down after my run, living the dream...Regards

Jack - that is good! Well Done!
Deep satisfactions come from such triumphs.
I put a complex new gate lock on today and had own mini version of same.
These are small pleasing things, not to be sneered at, nor can they be undermined.
I have to beat Ireland demain, Final Autumn International,so back to the Alma after early hunt 'n' gather at a carboot - stock for London, always on the lookout, as in France next Sunday.
This is a good offer, rpt of April/May:

A big word of warning which may or may not be relevant to the situation [to much to read].
Be very careful how about any money or anything else you give your wife [including paying for training and bills!] as she can use this to claim to be a dependent and as a result get/increase a settlement as a dependent equal to the sum you have been giving her.
She can also claim from the estate in the event of your death if she can show a paper trail where you are giving her money etc.
Being 'kind' can put you in a world of hurt for the future. Do not give this woman money it is her responsibility to sort it out.
Your responsibility are the children and all money you are giving should go through them.
Good luck keep us posted.0 -
Read most of this thread and have no advice to offer, but just wanted to wish Jack well and to say what a nice man he comes across as, and well done on his relationship with his daughter.
Hope it all works out.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
