  • No news again today. These companies take their time. I had to spend £2.20 today on car parking because I had to attend a meeting in work plus the extra petrol for 20 miles to the meeting and 20 miles return so not best pleased. I can claim this back but it does take a number of weeks :(

Apart from that there has been no money spent which is a massive achievement for me.

  • That;s a shame that there has been no news but really well done on not spending apart from those travel costs :T

  • Morning all, came home yesterday to two letters from really old ppi claims saying they can't find any record of the loan. They are over 12 years old though and I didn't have any details from them :(

Woke up this morning with a big black cloud over me and can't seem to shift it. Am down to my last £100 and I need petrol and food so will have to do some major budgeting cos I don't get paid until the 20th.

Have made hardly any dent in the debt busting this month just made the minimum payments and I'm on a downer about it.

Need to shake off this mood and go and do some shopping.

  • Have popped to the supermarket and spend a grand total of £21. That's not too bad. I'm off to stay at my partners tonight so will put petrol in on the way. Have also got enough food for packed lunch for the week so all meals sorted :)

  • Still got a black cloud over me today so plan on doing very little. Am definitely having a NSD as got no plans to go anywhere. A day in front of the TV chilling is in order. Happy debtbusting everyone x

  • £21 is a cracking supermarket shop.

Sorry to hear the news regarding your ppi claim. I have a claim in at the moment but not holding out much hope so think it will be like you - just plod on and get there in the end.

It may be a disappointment but you are doing so well in not giving in xx

  • Thanks for the support Eyes Wide Open. It's always a disappointment when you have a rejection letter. I wasn't holding out much hope as the loans were from the 1990's but if you don't ask you don't get so I thought I'd give it a go.

Still haven't moved off the settee so it's a definite NSD today. The most I'm doing is thinking what to make for lunch for work tomorrow :)

  • I'm really sorry to hear about your claims, what a pity. But at least you're proactively trying to do things to help your situation. And a £21 food shop is really good going. I hope you're feeling a bit better, it's horrible in the middle of the month looking at the bank account and wondering how you will make it to the end of the month, but you'll get there, I'm sure of it.

  • Good evening all, hope the week has started off positively for you all. Very little to report today. The plan was to take lunch today but I couldn't face sandwiches again so I chickened out and bought lunch. Am definitely taking lunch tomorrow though as the purse strings are very tight. Have taken out a tin of sou and some bread and popped it in my bag am definitely not giving in to temptation tomorrow.

Had a bit of a crisis towards the end of last week, realised my tax credits had been stopped because DD had left school, managed to get them reinstated as she's continuing in full time education but am still owed £40 payment which should have been paid last Friday. Got no petrol to go to work tomorrow but hoping the payment will go int bank in time.

Have decided that me and OH are going to do a car boot sale next Sunday morning so will hopefully have a bit of spare cash from that. Fingers crossed the weather will be nice and everyone will be fighting to buy my stuff at top price :) Ok a bit of wishful thinking there.

Going to spend the rest of the night watching the soaps, before having an early night.

  • Hello,

I hope your tax credits payment went in then so that you could get your petrol sorted.

That's a great idea about the car boot sale. I know people who have done them and they always seem to have had fun as well as getting some cash in. Good luck with it and I'll keep my fingers crossed for decent weather for you.

Hope you have a good day today x
