  • Nothing to report on the money front this week, all very boring actually. Sent off the acceptance for the Welcome finance for the £250 they owe me and also sent off the form that HBOS sent me. Can't even remember taking the loan out in 2005 so am hoping I've borrowed a massive amount and paid loads of ppi.

    I can but dream :)

  • Have come home today to a letter from Kensington Mortgages. They wanted me to contact them because I had a second mortgage with them many years ago and it appears when I paid it off I overpaid. Picture the scene - in my mind this overpayment was going to be millions - stark reality it's only £112. Still, I'm not going to turn my nose up at it, I'm sure I've got another little bill I can pay off :)

  • No money news today but what I have done is cancelled two mobile phone contracts costing £82 per month and replaced them with PAYG sim contracts for a total of £30 per month. That's a £50 saving :)

Have also been given the address of a broker who arranged a loan for me a number of years ago so have written to them asking them if ppi was included. It was so long ago I can't remember but hoping it was included and can therefore be reclaimed.

  • So, what are the grand plans for the extra £50 per month?

  • I've decided that I'm going to concentrate on one debt at a time and set up a transfer in the bank. I will continue to pay off the £1 per month but also transfer the extra £50 each month until it's paid off. The first debt to concentrate on is Co-op bank, it's only £72 but going to try and pay it off ASAP.

  • A rather quiet day today. Not feeling 100% but can't put my finger on what's wrong. Nothing exciting in the mail today and only £10 in the bank :(

Only got to manage until Friday when tax credits are paid in, and only 6 days to pay day. Am hoping my new wage will have kicked in this month. Don't know how much extra I'll have but it will be something.

Plan for tonight is to clean my bedroom. Am still collecting stuff for a car boot sale and am hoping that I'll hold one at the end of the half term week, that way DD can spend half term week having a sort out.

Don't think I've got enough stuff to make a lot of money but whatever I make will be a bonus and I'll also be de-cluttering at the same time.

  • Having set up a transfer to my co-op account, have just transferred £1 into it. If I can do that with every spare pound I have I'm sure I'll clear it in no time.
