Good morning.
Weather is beautiful here, perfect for getting the washing dry.
Not posted much this week, feeling overwhelmed again, work is scarily manic with the it being the end of the year and there seems to be too much to do and not enough time to do it in.
House looks as though a bomb has gone off in it and need a really good tidy, but again its finding the time, will be glad when its the school holidays and I can potter a bit more and get on top of it.
On the money front, well as usual i have none, this week I have spent far too much , Had a night out on Friday, which was a reall y good meal and a catch up with friends, but cost me £50, a night out is soo expensive:mad:.
DD had a pony club gala, so that was a £30 spend.
Went to Mr A yesterday for groceries and that was another £82 gone.
Have just paid barclaycard £174 minimmum payment, at least the interest is a really low life of balance and i can see it coming down, unlike the tesco card, this is the card I really need to overpay.
Been through the childrens clothes and they both need new items -
DD needs shorts and tshirts, also a pair of sandals.
DS needs shorts, both need new school uniform and school shoes for september.
I also need some new work clothes and shoes.
For myself i'm thinking 3 neutral tops, 2 cardigans and 2 pairs of trousers, shoes I will get myself some ballet style pumps and then boots later in the year.
Now I just need to work out where the money is coming from to pay for it all:(. not much to ebay and surveys are slow.0 -
Silage time here too, will be baling some hay this afternoon, Thankfully calving all done by the end of may. Times like this i wish i never learned to drive a tractor, lol maybe i should say no in case i break a nail or something !
Very hard to get a farmer away from the place even for a few hours, unless of course theres a machinery sale or Stirling bull sales ...
It does get a bit worrying when they're operating huge machinery and so tired. Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Hi Mara thanks for posting, perfect weather for bailing, DH has another 3 weeks of calving, also got 3rd cut silage and whole crop to look forward to, has told me that he has got next weekend off but we will see!! DH is currently spark out on a lounger in the garden, will wake him up in an hour then he is off to milk.
Had a lovely lunch in the garden, just salad, left over meats ,cheese and bread, fruit for pud and it was delish.
Off to do some washing.0 -
Morning, very overcast here and looks like it might rain
.
The one and only item I could find to ebay has bids on it, won't make a lot but anything will do.
After posting about children needing clothes I naughtily had a look on the Next website and bought nothing as 1 there wasn't much I liked at a reasonable price for myself and 2 they had no shorts in my children size in the sale or that could be delivered in the next 5 weeks:eek:, and by that point summer will be over.
So i had a look at h&m, lots of childrens clothes in the sale and at a reasonable price (can't believe I was thinking of spending £15 on shorts for DD at next), so from h&m I have ordered DD 3 tops and 2 pairs of shorts, DS 2 pairs of shorts and a pair of ballet pumps for myself all this came to £27, which i have to say is very reasonable, anyone needed kids summer bits I recommened taking a look.
Today its back to work and with a week and half left to go I'm at the counting down stage, also the if you really want to kill each other over a pencil then go ahead, but please wait until I've left the room stage :rotfl:.
Starting to think about the summer and what we are going to do, DS has claimed a huge box from his grandma's which is now sat in the garage, apparently its going to turned into a star wars something or other ship, so looks like we will be having a junk modeling day.
Will spend some days on the beach and have picnics. Told the children they can both have a couple of sleeovers. 1 trip to the cinema and maybe a day at a zoo/theme park. My plan is to only use the car twice a week which will be quite a challenge as we live far away from shops etc.
Spends today will be low as we only need loo roll.
Food plans are to make a quiche for tea, universe if your listening I need the chickens to lay at least 2 eggs today so i can make a quiche and some fairy cakes (have 4 eggs already). See I don't ask for much in life :rotfl:.0 -
Spends today £1.50 on loo roll.
Withdrawn £7.84 from on£poll+0 -

Hi PWD, yes hens laid and quiche made nom nom, just need to bake some fairy cakes now.
DD has brought a letter home from school for a 2 day activity trip in september, she really wants to do it but its £90 , don't know what to do its a lot of money and need to send a deposit in this week of £10.
Here I was pleased with myself for making £15 today and planning on over paying to Tesco CC and i get this letter, wish I would just get a break.0 -
