Yesterday was a NSD as the weather was so pants we didn't do anything, I even lit the woodburner as the house felt cold and damp yesterday evening, didn't burn much but it did take the chill off.
Today I have a few errands to do, will go to the smaller local town rather than the big one less temptation to spend.
Today's list of chores -
post ebay parcel.
withdraw £20 for kids spend when they go to grandma's.
Bake cakes.
Pack kids bags.
Catch up with washing (1st load hung out).
Check survey.
Trying not to do a huge amount as I can catch up with all the chores whilst kids are away.
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the summer hols.x.0 -
I've been into town and posted ebay parcel and withdrew £20 cash for children and that was it, both kids took some of there own money and got some sweets from the sweet shop, but I was sooo good and resisted, I also resisted going into the chip shop in the way back to car and we had ham sandwiches when we got home.
Have just hung another load of washing out and put another load on, sunny here so getting it done whilst I can as I don't think the weather is going to stay nice.
Slowly getting children's things together, currently all over the dining table, also need to pack a few bits like breakfast cereal, HM cakes, crisps etc don't like sending them off empty handed as I know they cost a fortune to feed.
Currently stewing some rhubarb I have been given for free, will put it into the freezer for know.
Have managed to do a few surveys this morning and some adpoints, nothing close to pay out yet though.

Hello Penny, just catching up! I had a spendy day just like you did after pay day ...I nearly cried when I got home and realised how much we'd spent in one go
I also stupidly took DH, DS1&2 & DD to a1di and my usual £90 shop came to £159  I nearly died on the spot when the cashier asked how i'd like to pay !! I haven't got all their uniform yet so I think you are super organised! I have to get 3x pairs of shoes and a few jumpers for DS2 and I think that is all (I am being super mean and I went through everything and made them try it all on and have kept what fits and was still not marked and they are only getting new of what didn't fit
) xx

Morning
I love rhubarb! Yum!
Hope you have a lovely day penny.
Re the uniform, that's what we should do every year isn't it, keep what fits, but there's this ideal that we try to conform to that they should get new everything for a new school year. My DD has fairly new shoes and they may still fit come Sept and I'm battling with what to do. Really, writing it down I should buff them up and they will look like new......
Well done on another £3 pwps xxDebt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683

I agree about the school uniform, DS is getting DD school sweatshirts/polo tops handed down as they are still in good condition and theyhave to wear ones with school logo, so they are expensive, luckily he has only heeded new trousers and shoes, Had to buy everything for DD as she is starting secondary school and again everything has to be bought with school logo, even the skirt has to be a certain type and only bought from the specified uniform shop .
Rent money has been paid into the account :j, so need to pay a couple of bills later.
Going to have hair cut later, I'm looking very wild and woolly, it's long overdue.
Also dropping kids of at MIL.
take care pwps.x.0 -
