  • Alas, the best chippy was Ernies plaice just round the Corner and if you wanted a sit down, Steels is opposite.

As a cut above the wrest Meggie, no one in their right mind who lives in Cleethorpes would venture into that place.

Did you post a review on Trip Advisor? It looks like you may have anyway. The best way to name and shame is on there

    No I haven't - do you think I should?

Revenge, unlike their fish & chips, is a dish best eaten cold.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Savvy Shopper!
Next time go to a Yorkshire seaside town. Your problem was you weren't far North enough for good fish n chips. You were East enough though so you're almost there :)

On Grimsby Docks, we pee on the fish that is not fit to sell in our town. We ship this to Yorkshire.
  • We no longer eat fish, we eat all the medals our athletes won in the Olympics. There were so many we didn't know what else to do with them! :P

Beat this Fish and Chip lovers! the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital restaurant does a cracking chip shop quality battered fish (or breaded if preferred) and chips every Friday for £2.80. Its not a mini one either, good sized. Open to the public.

    How do they do that?

Irrelevant I know but if an NHS canteen can get it so right surely a 'specialist' chip shop should be able to!

So that's where the taxpayer's money is going then. Subsidised fish & chip suppers.

And here's me, foolishly, thinking that hospitals are there to heal the sick.

Trip Advisor is used by people looking for somewhere to eat; MSE is used by people primarily looking to save money (I know it's a generalisation).

So - if you want to inform people who are looking for somewhere to eat in Cleethorpes, put it on Trip Advisor.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
