If you're anything like me you can get him back with all your pregnancy flatulence :o

I am glad that I haven't made it up but I am still not sure I will ever get used to it. I have a wierd thing about sleeping on the side of the bed closest to the door (I'm not that strange honest!!)

The pregnancy flatulence was well under way last night, I had him in hysterics because it's not something I usually do... He does enough for both of us!

And as for sleeping near the door.. I'm the opposite, I have to sleep furthest from the door!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Keelycat don't worry about the lists! Just look at a few lists of 'essential' items and see how they vary. They are silly! One leaflet from my hospital recommends 'facial spritz, cds and lip balm' and what??? clothes for pole dancing in no doubt LOL
Lucky you i SO wish I knew when I would be going into labour, I am so tired of waiting! my EDD is on the 24th. My dd's birthday is the 17th so they have picked a good date for you;)

Is everyone else sleeping on their left hand side? I am sure I read somewhere that you had to for better blood circulation etc and it is one of those things that is keeping me awake at night - if I turn onto my right hand side (which I do several times a night) then I wake up in a mad panic :o Thing is, I am not even sure if I have actually read about this or if I have made it up...

I've definitely seen lying on your left hand side is better, but I've not been very successful with it, I have a natural preference for my right, and for the past few weeks I've found if I try my left I can't breathe for some reason (maybe baby's position?) so I've decided breathing is better than improved circulation! I wouldn't panic about it if you wake up on your right, given the difficulties of sleeping in pregnancy my view is whatever makes you more comfortable.
  • Thanks everyone x
I've just ordered the £2 bra and I'm looking forward to any other bargains that pop up and getting to know everyone!
We still dont want to tell everyone just yet, but work is becoming difficult. I work with dangerous drugs and chemicals and there's only so many excuses I can come up with. Has anybody else been in the same position?

You gotta tell them. I worked doing the makeup in Tescos and i HAD to tell them cos i could no longer take the risk of lifting 25-30 kilo boxes!
Your employer has a legal duty to do a risk assessment because you are pregnant.

i work with some cytotoxic drugs and i told them when i was 6 weeks, personel however didn't do my risk assessment till 2 weeks before i finished work!
  • So far I've avoided the cyto's as much as poss, do immunosuppresents need to be avoided too? LOL our HR is the same with risk assesments - I'll have to wait months!!
