We didnt have the option to find out. Our districts policy is to not tell and we thought about a private scan but really couldnt justify the cost. 70quid could so be used on other things so we will just need to wait and see

Same here, policy is not to tell. Don't feel the need to find out though. It will be one or the other and there will be no pink or blue baby accessories here in any case !!! Just bought a lovely sage green snow suit :)

Why is it though that people always seem to buy newborn size baby clothes as gifts:confused:

Right I'd just like to complain a bit.... apart from now being inexplicably drawn to baby shops and clothes... I bought a new bra online before we knew... and it arrived yesterday so tried it on... well I have bulging boobs! Like the 4 boob syndrome...
Right thinks me... Blooming sizing is off grrrr - No it ain't - boobs have already started to swell!!! Is that normal THIS early???
At least I now have a lovely bra that I can wear after the boobs go down when I finish breastfeeding :rotfl:... blooming typical :D

    Yep its normal Mrs T;)
i would suggest only getting 2 bras at a time to save money, cos later on in the pregnancy the size will differ due to your ribs being pushed up:eek:
The mopst comfy ones I got were primark sports bras which were £4 each.

I had to go and get measured again yesterday. Before preggers 32DD, now 38DD. Lady that measured me recommended M&S total support bras over the maternity ones as they would have more support. Im sure it was nothing to do with the fact that they were more expensive....

I liked both knowing and not knowing, and once in labour you kind of forget what sex it is anyway...all you can really think of is ending the pain!!!!

I keep thinking of my friend who is 26 weeks and she found out she is having a girl at 20wks. They have the name picked out and all the clothes from her dd1 washed and at the ready, The cot covers are in pink and the room is geared slightly more towards a girl too... I just think there is nothing left to do. Also all the excitement for friends and family is gone really. once the baby is born it will be a case of oh she is here.
I loved going shopping with ds1 after he was born and showing him off to the world, whilst buying all the little boys clothes aaahhhhhh

I think you have already made up your mind so just have to get DH on side too now! ;):D .

I deliberately didn't decorate the nursery pink, just in case, and I knew I wanted more than one child...and here 'he' is my tummy! :rotfl:
