before we were ttc i have always said i woudl have a water birth, and our local hospital offers the service but now i am not so sure.
I WILL make him read the leaflet at some point... really thought he would like the fact that he could get in with me etc. But at the moment he doesn't even want to look  I think he just wants everything done the 'traditional' way 'just in case'.
Millies Mum - we are telling people as we go (sort of) not really shouting it from the rooftops but telling people as we see them. I am 8 +6 and I already think I look pregnant so by the time the scan comes around I can see me being with bump!
Another question for you ladies...what should you wear when you go in for your scan? (not all my questions will be clothes related I promise)

. My two sisters and I were born all within 3 years and are extremely close so I'm hoping mine will really bond too.
Hoping to find out if Poppy's getting a bro or sis tomorrow morning!

I didn't plan for such a small age gap  but it's worked well - I have a boy and a girl to so I am lucky they are so close.
How exciting - good luck for the scan tomorrow - I found out both the sexes of my first 2 children at 11-12 weeks as I'm very impatient and couldn't wait
However my partner is adamant he does not want to find out the sex beforehand - so I will have to contain my curiosity - it's not going to be easy!0 -

Hello my fathers daughter - having had an embarrassing amount of scans over the years (don't ask!) I would recommend anything that you can pull down the waistband easily and don't mind getting a bit of the scan fluid on!
You will need to pull your trousers down to around the top of your pants x0 -

*note to self - make sure wearing pants that day*
Can you find out the scan at the 12 week scan??? If so I need to get working on hubby sooner than planned (I want to know, he doesn't...)please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

OOh let us know asap then SB:j :j I looked at the private scanning link, and they do them near me, so it's a good thing to fall back on if 20 week scan doesn't show the sex;)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Anything but a dress....didnt quite fancy lifting one up and flashing my pants and wobbly legs at that point loli just wear my usual maternity jeans or trousers and undo them, and they put that blue paper towel stuff over them to keep them dry/clean from the scan gel. and lift top up to expose belly
Thanks for the replies-on bleeding. It sounds scary, def take loads of pants and pads in!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Hi All
I have my midwife appt tomorrow, I'm not sure what to do though really. I don't want to go through the whole booking in and bloods thing if I have miscarried, or may miscarry, I am probably being irrational/hormonal, but I am so petrified of mc as my last 2 pg's ended by 9wks (ish).
I suppose I should probably go and then I can speak with her but she will probably insist on everything being carried out as normal and I really would like to know the pg is going to continue before doing all that.
Sorry, I know I just sound like I am rambling, I probably am but i'm just so scared.
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Aww RM I miscarried my 2nd child, after DD, at about 9 weeks, so I know how worrying it is.That's why i'm wrapping DD in cotton wool now as she's my only one:o
Good luck tomoz hun x;)
