:hello: thank you! i was ok untill a few days ago and i think it just hit me that baby will be here soon  totally scared! I need a hug!
:grouphug: Here have a seriously dodgy looking hug! If it helps I've been prone with terror for ages now! One one point (24 weeks I think) I realised there was only one way the baby was getting out and promptly freaked out!SeptemberBaby wrote: »I'm still trying to figure out if it was better first time when I didn't know what to expect or this time when I know exactly what is going to happen! :rotfl:
Er, thanks SB, I think ;-)SeptemberBaby wrote: »One thing I know for sure is that its all worth it in the end
You see, people keep saying that to me, and I'm just not convinced, I'm with Toto, I'm not entirely sure I'm completely on board with this now! (Although as my DH has pointed out to me, if I'm only half as captivated by Small as I am with other people's newborns we'll be more than fine!)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
I know its such a cliche, but I really have forgotten most of it - really I have!
Its such a blur now and I have to refer to DH to refresh my memory (I made him read through and make notes from my hosp file before I was discharged! And previously made him photocopy all my antenatal notes before I went into hosp!
:rotfl:).
Yes, your life will never ever be the same again but you would never ever want it to! I'm still in awe that I'm a Mummy nine months on. There is no other feeling like it and I can't wait for you all to report back later...once the birth bit is over and done with!

Hi all
Gosh what a lot of new arrivals since I last checked in. And Sending all my luck and good wishes to you Gem...
I also can't believe how fast I am moving up the list...I am 8wks today and so far baby seems to be sticking (keeping everything crossed) only 4 more weeks until i'm out of the danger zone. Next week will fly by I hope as dh is away all week and the boys break up for hols tom, plus I have my first midwife app on tuesday, hopefully get booked in for scans, as I am very nervous about whether everything is ok in there!!!

Good Morning all, wonder if I can join? Its very early days for me, only 5 weeks with a due date of 25th March 09. Very very nervous, will be my second child but ds is 8 this year and the thought of what feels like going backwards is very daunting (sorry to sound so negative). Dont plan on telling family until about 12 weeks but am very worried about telling ds as he has always made it very clear he does not want any siblings!
Hope you dont mind me gatecrashing! x:j :j :j:A0 -

Update as requested:
Things are going as well as could be expected. I am going in to the hospital for daily monitoring and bumps heartbeat and movement are fine. Almost all the water is gone now so poor baby doesn't exactly have much room for manover!
Thank god baby was in the right position for birth with his head down before my waters broke as I think he chance of being turned around in the remaining space would be slim to none.
I have been pumped full of steriods to try and prepare his lungs for birth and antibiotics to prevent infections - the fantastic news is I tested clear for all infections yesterday.
Meeting with the consulatant today to pick a day for the induction - I am keeping my fingers crossed that I go into labour naturally as I have been told by the hospital that this would be much less painful - its not looking likely though ... poop.
Any advice about bring on labour please let me know0 -
Hi Everyone!
My first visit over to the board and this thread.
Just found out 3 days ago that I'm pregnant and went to the doctors today.
Hubby bought us a pregnancy magazine to help us get our heads round it all after considering all the options and deciding to go ahead with the pregnancy...
Think I'm about 4 weeks now, so figured it would be a March baby?
To be honest have no idea what we're doing or what to do next?
Any advice????lolWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi, just a little update-my midwife will be discussing my birth plan in two weeks time. Good news is my bp was good today, ive noticed it is quite good at gp and midwife but goes up at the hospital! typical lol.
Baby is doing well, the kicks in the ribs have been getting a bit uncomfortable though!

Carol, hope everything went well yesterday for you and your DS! x
Hi Redmel, glad your're ok. The 12w scan really is the first time I actually believed there was a baby in my belly! x
Congrats, Choccie, and welcome to the thread! x
Thanks for the update, Gem! Looks as though they are taking care of you x
Congrats, CAFCGirl, and welcome to the thread! There is not alot you can do at the minute but make sure you're taking your folic acid. Careful with those baby mags - I'm addicted and feel the need to buy almost every one! This is a good site to check out: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/pregcal/
HTH! x
Good news about your BP, Keely! I had the opposite with Poppy - twice the MW marched me off to hospital for monitoring and twice the hospital couldn't understand why I was there lol x0 -
Thanks for that link SeptemberBaby.
Looks like Choccie and I have the same due date, 25th March 2009. My birthday is in March too so that'll be quite nice for baby to arrive between mine and hubby's birthday.
Got my supplements earlier on today, so shall be taking those religiously...
Have already read the magazine from front to back but now just reading all the information I can get my hands on!
Hope everyone else is doing well xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi, your right CAFCGirl it does look like we share the due date. In reagrds of mags and things I was in my local libary with ds a couple of days ago and noticed they had quite alot of pregnancy and baby books, so that could save a few pennies!
Hope everyone is well x:j :j :j:A0
