Hya All
Hope everyone is well. Just catching up on thread after being away for a few weeks, congrats to everyone who has had there babies and congrats to all that are pregnant.
A few weeks ago i mentioned about a website (just4baby.co.uk) that i was going to use to get my pram off and said i would let people know about my experience.
Well i ordered the tigger patch blue travel system and got a email confirming the order straight away which was great, however the days started ticking by and i never heard a peep out of them, i emailed them 4 times (2 times through website and 2 times directly from outlook express) and im still waiting for a reply as i type this now.
After spending ages trying to reach them on the phone i finally got through to them and they told me they was out of stock:mad: , the reason the order was let through was because they did have 1 pram left however it was damaged.
They was due to send me this one last Friday, and had gone through all the procedures (e.g taking payment off my dads credit card) before realising the pram was damaged (they made it sound like i should be greatful that they checked it was/wasnt damaged, i was like well i appreciate that but how about checking damages etc before you take payment - they wasnt ment to take payment until goods were despatched).
I asked them how come no one had contacted me either by phone/post/email to say about the delay but they couldnt answer me. I asked how long it would take for them to get new stock in and they said 4 - 6 weeks (im due in 25 days) so i cancelled the order and asked for any monies taken to be returned to the credit card. They said sure no probs, you'll have a email within next 5 mins.
4-5 hours later still no email arrived so rang them again (this time got through straight away) and the bloke sent the email, however the amount was wrong, it was like £20 less then what they took. So another phone call is due. .
Ive now found two more sites thats im going to try www.preciouslittleone.com or www.tussypats.com. Im leaning towards preciouslittleone as all the reviews online am brilliant (i couldnt find no reviews for just4baby) and as i have found the same pram on tussypats for £10 (both free delivery) cheaper preciouslittleone will be contacting me within the next 48 hours with a price match (click the seen it cheaper here button to get on price match part) - with them matching the price i can get the matching parasol!
Sorry this post is so long just wanted to tell my experience with just4baby and to say i will defo not be using them again - will let you know how my experience goes with either of the 2 companies above.

Just wanted to say, me too!!! I thought I was going mad!
My mum rang me this morning to say she thinks she has got shingles. The cleaner at her work said that her grandkids had chickenpox and that's where my mum thinks she's got it from.
My mum is prone to exagerration, there's probably nothing wrong with her. But... she said I should ring the midwife in case it's dangerous for me and bubba. I feel fine. Well, as fine as I normally do anyways. I saw my mum over the weekend.
Is there something I should be doing?Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

if u have had chicken pox u should be grand polly. u cant catch shingles from shingles just chicken pox but u should be fine! a girl in work had this a few weeks ago and was fine. got this off net doctor. hope it helps put ur mind at ease. Question
Is it safe to be around someone who has had shingles (herpes zoster) when you are pregnant?
Answer
The short answer to this is yes.
Although shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox (and this is a disease to be avoided in pregnancy), shingles is not caught, but is due to a reactivation of the herpes zoster virus that has been lying dormant in the nerve tissue of someone who has had chicken pox in the past.
With shingles, the virus is not shed into the atmosphere, as it is with chicken pox, so you cannot catch it by being in the same room with someone who has shingles.
This is quite unlike chicken pox, where you can catch it by breathing in virus particles excreted by an infected person.
In theory the virus could be passed on by touching weeping shingles spots, but even this is unlikely. I have never seen people in the same household get chicken pox from another member with shingles.
So if you avoid any close contact with the person with shingles, you will be safe.
Furthermore, if you have had chicken pox yourself, then you will have antibodies to the virus that will protect you and the unborn baby.
Yours sincerely

ps still not had this blooming baby! induction tomorrow!! bye bye shiny water birth!love you lots like jelly tots0 -
ooo on the chicken pox thing my sister had bad chicken pox when we were little(we are twins) she got pregnant and some1 she lived with got pox and they tested her anti bodies and found she carries no anti bodies for chicken pox so needed an injection.
chicken pox is dodgy in the first 12 weeks and the last month of pregnancy so if ur around ne1 with it ask for an immunity check if ur around them times in pregnancy.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -
Thanks very much for that! I had chickenpox when I was little, so I should be okay. I'm 17 weeks pregnant, so not in any of the timeframes mentioned.
I'll stay away from my mum just in case. That won't be hard!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Hi Guys
Congrats to all the new pregnancies!
I had my anomoly scan on Friday and it was brilliant. Baby looks fine and we decided not to find out the gender in the end. I'm now back to paranoid mode, and have totally stressed myself out over analysing my slightly strange blood test and urine results and my downs risk...at the moment i'm really upset with all this lark and cant get these negative feelings out of my head. The sensible thing to do would be to phone the midwife to get some clarity on my results... but i have a terrible phone phobia and cant bring myself to do it. How pathetic am i!
Anyway, here's my scan pic...ive started flipping over-analysing the parts of that now! i think i need a slap!0 -
What a great photo Photogenic already.
I just had my anomaly scan too and I keep worrying that I have to wait 4 weeks until anyone checks bump out again. I think paranoia mode is just normal - getting us used to it before we become parents :-)0 -
