Had scan yesterday. I'm 6+4. Everything looked fine. Morning sickness is better since I've been wearing the travelbands. xx

Ooh, just realised you were asking me yes, it may well be the triple test, already had the general blood tests for blood type, check for HIV etc etc....

I came home with a massive bruise last time-i looked as if id been badly punched in my arm! :eek: hope it goes better this time!

have you felt any movements yet? i cant tell if i am or not yet, being my first baby im not totally sure in books etc it says you may feel swirling type feelings etc, but i may just have a windy belly or something lol.....

yea i came back with big bruises aswell hate bloods always seem to hurt me

i no it aaint ment for me but i felt movement from around week 16/17 (am on 1st pregnancy) everyone experiences them at different times - mine was like lil butterflies didnt really feel swirls unless thats how you would describe the butterflies .

Am either you (keelykat) or Orange29 going to find out sex for baby at your 20 week scan or are you going to wait?

had my 12 week scan yesterday and they've changed my date from 4th to 11th october.
so baby is due 2 weeks before my DD's 2nd birthday!:j

I was wondering if anyone could help me with what this phrase means

11 to 13 + 6 weeks gestation

I'm trying to make an appointment for nuchal testing and I am currently 11 weeks 2 days pregnant (although the doctor has me down as 13 weeks 2 days pregnant, an early scan shows I'm not that far gone).

So I'm not sure if I can still have the test or not.

Hi Cookie! If I'm honest I don't really know how I feel. Sounds daft doesn't it. I'm excited because of the obvious result of the pregnancy, nervous as well because it's such a responsibility bringing up a child and although I've just had my 30th birthday I still feel like a child myself sometimes .
We've got everything ready, the nursery, bags are packed, application packs for tax credits and child benefit, I know what and where we have to go to register the baby etc etc but it still feels unreal. I know it's happening because there's a massive bump in front of me :rotfl:. It probably helps that I have 2 midwives and other nurses in the family which means I kinda get the honest, non fluffy answers that some other women might get.

With names..well I think we've decided on the first name of Erin, struggling with a middle name or she may not get one, it's not compulsary after all
to JoJob - Your midwife sounds a bit of a drip if I'm honest and if you're not feeling comfortable with the level of care you are receiveing you can ask to see someone else or discuss it with a practice manager the issues you've raised. At the end of the day your hand held notes are a very important record of the pregnancy and if the imformation held on them are wrong then that's something that needs to be raised (what else is he putting down wrong?) and you are not the only patient he'll be seeing. Also, if you have no confidence in him, how can you possibly feel relaxed and able to ask him questions. So in my opinion, yes, you should mention it. Ask the receptionist to speak to the practice manager and go from there. Good luck

Hi Mums, dads and grandparents to be!

Just spent ages reading back the pages as it's sooo long since i've been on here! Hope everyone is well, congrats to the new BFP's and congrats to those who have new arrivals!

As for me, i had my 16 week appointment earlier this week, and got to listen to the heartbeat which was really amazing...i even heard it kicking and punching me! A weird feeling to hear it getting violent but not feeling anything significant yet!

Now i'm starting getting overawed by thoughts of where to start in preparing for this little one...i've got a nursery room full of other furniture and junk at the moment, and nowhere for it to go, and i don't even know where to start when it comes to buying 'things' (what things will i need, god knows lol) Attempted to start looking on ebay this morning for stuff, but i got bored after about 2 pages, its so overwhelming!

Had my dating scan this morning & changed my date from 27th Sept to October 14th! How I got the dates so wrong I'll never know. Anyway its my birthday on 20th October so me & baby could potentially have the same birthday!

Hello everyone,

Firstly, I hope everyone's pregnancies are going well I don't often post here (due to only figuring out how to subscribe to a thread yesterday, lol) but needed somewhere to rant. Grrrr!!!

My birth partner has just pulled out of the whole thing. I've had a hard time of it anyway as my baby's father left the day I told him after two years together, and I felt so much better when she volunteered to come to the appointments and birth with me. She missed my 20 week scan, my 4D 27 week scan, and has just text today to say she won't be coming to the classes with me either, as she's too busy. I replied and said to just say if she didn't want to be my birth partner, as I'd prefer that to being ditched last minute just before every appointment. She replied and said she's too busy to be my birth partner, and won't be coming to the hospital with me.

I love the way she waited til I'm 31 weeks gone to tell me :mad: I know it's easy to find someone else, but I'm very isolated where I am and don't have many friends for various reasons. The thought of giving birth alone just doesn't appeal to me, but it looks like that's what I've got coming
