I'm just struggling through just trying to keep up with all the threads. So many to go through.

Just a quick question. Is it normal to have whitish discharge when you're pregnant? I'm about 8/9 pregnant.

POLLYANNA - certainly in my pregnancy and from what others have said it is normal to have an increased discharge, sometimes considerably. If it smells or is itchy it is worth getting checked out or if you are worried mention it to your midwife.

P.S. by daughter didn't get a place at the school and i haven't stopped crying - really don't need this right now.

    hi everyone,

just wanted a bit of a moan if that's ok, if not please ignore me. physically i am feeling fine but emotionally i am a nervous wreck. now 4 days overdue, daughter hasn't got into secondary school we wanted for her and i have just been into town and broken down in tears in a shop who wouldn't let me return something which i had to carry home and which was slightly heavy. Really hope baby doesn't come today as i don't think i could cope. Rang the shops customer service when i felt like i wasn't going to cry down the phone and ended up doing just that - sorry but just feeling like a walking disaster today. And now i've ended up coming home without anything for the kids' tea! Plus rang OH at work about 8 times today and he won't be pleased. Sorry again for the moan.

    Hi 3KIDS

Well you are having a naff day!! I wish I could say something to cheer you up, but apart from the snotty shop, everything happens for a reason. I arent sure of this new school process, but do they give you a reason why your daughter cant go to that one, and is there another one that will take her? What about appealing?

I'm sure that everything seems terrible at the moment, but something will turn round for you soon. As one door shuts another opens. Main thing is to try keep well, and as sane as possible.

    Big hugs xx

Do you have to be the prospective mum to join? I'm a prospective Nana (1st time!) and things have changed just so much since I was last pregnant (24 yrs) and would like to have as much info as poss about money saving as this is very much an unplanned pregnancy but DD2 and BF decided against termination once they found out what was involved (PHEW!)

They're now looking into getting a home together and everything needs to be cheap as not a lot of money around and no hand me downs available from friends/relatives.

They are due to go to Docs Wednesday to say baby's definitely wanted and presumably doc will start all the midwife/antenatel processess then. She's about 10/11 weeks.

I'm so excited and fit to burst, but she won't let me tell anyone yet till everything's been sorted out with Doc and she's past the 12 stage!

    Hi everyone,

Coleys- I am really sorry to hear of your sad news, hope you are feeling a little better:grouphug:

3KIDS- Hope your feeling a little better now, you just moan as much as you want its better out than in. We heard my sister had got in to her chosen school this morning thankfully, it was awful waiting to hear though did you have to state reasons why you wanted your daughter to go the school you picked? I dont know if it helped in my sisters case but we wrote that when me and my sister went to the other school we ended up leaving for being bullied and various other reasons which were all true. Its awful when you get a school you dont want, I mean afterall if a child is not going to be happy at a certain school why do they send them there. Really hope it all gets sorted out for you, let us know how you get along. Sending you some labour vibes too.

Congratulations to all newbies and 1sttimer congratulations on your daughter you must be so thrilled your in the right place here everyone is so nice and helpful and has some great advice on savings and best buys, I know I have saved a fortune thanks to all these nice ladies.

Oops forgot to say any sign of miss_be yet? wonder if she has had baby ember, cant wait for news on them both, I am so jelous
