ive just looked on google and it says u can ask an employer but from everything iv read it seems others have had to sort it out for themselves even though really it should be done to the employer unless u have to buy ur uniform even when ur not pregnant

Hi all my baby finally arrived on Monday 21st January 7 days late weighing 8lb 11.5ozs we have called him Jake Michael.

The birth was quite quick although I had a few stitches :rolleyes: baby Jake is gorgeous and really good sleeps all the while :T .

This is another issue with have with my wife's employer. They demand that all staff only wear clothes that they stock in that store, which they buy using a discount.

Problem - they don't do maternity clothes. She has already mentioned it to her boss who hasn't really given a definite answer on her options. Well, she can hardly be expected to squeeze into jeans and tops that don't fit can she?

as for demanding she wears whats in stock they cant do that with her been pregnant the only way around it is belly bands to expand the panel of the jeans or trousers for a short while but she may not get a belly for a while to come yet.

She's noticed already that her worn and tested trousers are already getting a bit tight, which has unnerved her as she's only eight weeks gone!

cuz at 8 weeks the baby is no bigger than a plum.

belly bands can be really good as they are worn with ur own trousers its just a panel that attachs so u can still wear ur stuff

Yep, we know about the general size of the uterus at this stage, I think what unnerves her more is the fact that already she's having to think about different clothes and has nothing to show for it! She doesn't LOOK larger and I think she wants for a bump to show off

im like a beached whale and still got a while left although its annoying when ur first pregnant and ppl keeping asking when ur due or saying oo ur not very big are u or u get the ooo ur huge dont envy ur labour lol

Hi

Congratulations to all the newbies and to those who have given birth. I just wanted to take myself off the TTC list as after 2 miscarriages last year we have decided to take a break from trying for a baby for a while.
