nursing bras - are they totally necessary? It is difficult to feed without as you have to undo more, (although you don't need dedicated feeding tops)and if you are out it is very difficult. 3kids may have more advice for you on this. However you could see if bubs will feed this way before buying them. Or you could modify existing (non-wired bras) with safety pins or a hook and eye or something?
i think that if you intend to breastfeed for more than a couple of weeks (cheaper and easier) then it would be worth investing in a couple of nursing bras, unless you are really good at adapting an existing one.
Congrats Keelykat and welcome to the pregnancy club.
QUOTE: 3Kids - just had my 34 (+2) checkup and midwife says I'm "normal" (little does she know)
This made me giggle douggie. Thanks for letting me know - i have decided to stop worrying (or worry slightly less) about this now as i have a list as long as my arm of other things to worry about.
Hi Bun - won't panic too much then when/if baby stops doing somersaults. I never tire of watching my belly moving around, it's amazing - OH has seen it once and isn't quite as thrilled as me. Had several comments today about my size and i have been weighing myself and haven't put on much weight yet. Seeing midwife again next week and am going to ask again about another scan but don't hold out much hope to getting one.
Think i am getting addicted to this thread as check it dozens of times a day to see if anybody is 'talking' - how said am i?now mum of 4!!!0 -
Also with Ebay we have items to sell but we have no spare money for the postage. So are you able to sell the item, wait for the money to come through, and then post it off using that money for postage? AS 3kids said, also if you have paypal just release the money to your account and then send. This may be quicker than cheques and you can do it online without physically having to cash cheques etc. I've often bought stuff where the seller has stated they do this and it's no problem.
Or you can buy postage direct from your paypal account to save you have to pay the fee (and wait) to release the money to your bank :-) You just need to weigh and measure the item then purchase the postage (there's a little button next to the payment for it on paypal) stick it on and send it :-) I reccomend still taking them to the Post Office to get a Certificate Of Posting (free) just in case they go missing. I hope that helps :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Hypnobirthing? is this self-hypnosis or will you have a hypnotist in there with you?
 at the idea of someone else in there at the birth! No, it's self hypnosis, you have to practice by listening to the cd daily and working through various
other exercises 2-3 times a week (haven't got round to those yet, gulp!) then when the time comes, you apparently get so relaxed you block out everything and everyone around you. Various breathing exercises too, i don't know how they compare to the ones taught at NCT classes, but the main one is for your contractions, you breathe "up" your belly as if you're filling a balloon to work with your muscles, rather than tensing up and causing yourself more pain. You also breathe the baby down using natural expulsion rather than "pushing" which leads to you tensing up the very gap you're trying to make as wide as possible0 -
Hello
This is the first time I've posted on this thread. I'm 35 and 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible and have heard mention of a freebie pack from Asda. I think you need a voucher to claim this, though I might be wrong, but I don't know where you get this from. Do you know anything about this?
Thanks0 -
Hii girls,
I'm looking for some advice again!!
I should be ovulating about this time of the month. I decided to buy some of the cheap ovulation strips. Last night i had a faint line. I tested my urine tonight expecting a stronger line, however there was no line at all? Does this mean I'm not ovulating this month?
Thanks xx0 -
Miss-B... There are some nursing bras in the sale on mothercare website starting from £7 (depending on your size) up to 60% off. Also the boots parenting club is a great idea for the free bag I got mine a while ago and its great. Good Luck:p19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0

Hi everyone.... I've got a little bird down below... Yes the Thrush!!! grrrrrrr.. is this normal and what can I do
Thanks xx0 -
welcome idreamofdevon - i think the pack you are talking about are the bounty family pack. If you go to www.bounty.com you can print of a voucher. There is also a pregnancy pack available from Asda/Boots but you need a voucher from your midwife if you haven't already got one. If you haven't had one yet it is best to get it from Asda as you get a £5 George voucher. With both these packs they often run out so you might need to ask a few visits before you get one.
coleys - thrush is very common in pregnancy. Worth visiting your gp to get it checked out and that way you get treatment free on prescription too.now mum of 4!!!0 -

this may be something to do with the pregnancy bounty pack? Loads of pieces of paper will be given when you have your booking appointment if you haven't had it already. Think you just hand it in to customer services. If I'm wrong someone will shout. Congratulations by the way.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0
