Hi everyone,
Ive been meaning to post for ages just wanted to see how everyone is getting along?
Hope your feeling a little better miss-be, i was trying to think of some suggestions for you but i have to admit i am not very good at it, some great suggestions have been mentioned, its helped me with things i never knew about, i never knew about half the things i could be entitled to before i started reading this thread, so thank you everyone for the information.
Anyone else notice that the last few weeks of pregnancy feel like a lifetime? I am nearly 34 wks and it feels like its going on forever, I am like a giant flapping cod trying to get out of bed or off the sofa, pregnancy is so elegant lol.
Congratulations and welcome to all those that have found out they are pregnant:T0 -
It's like chinese whispers, we get it from the more preggers posters and pass it on until we leave and then it gets passed on to more newbies!
I'm 35 weeks, and seem to have been pregnant for years. I know what you mean about getting in and out of bed - I now know how those elephant seals flobbing up the beach feel when they get out of the water! DS has been very cute putting my slippers on for me when I'm still in bed though (although this morning did nag and go 'push, push' - touche!) which is quite sweet. It's looking busy for our fortnight in Feb, hopefully racing to the finish will help time pass more quickly!Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
rofl :rotfl: bun, what a sight we all must be on a morning, bless your DS thats really sweet, My OH laughs he thinks its really funny, wont be so funny when im in labour and i ask him to hold my hand lol.I keep looking to see if anyone is due their baby on the 29th february but no one yet, i wonder if anyones baby will arrive on the 29th, and have a leap year baby0

blimey, over 5000 posts on this thread, is it time to start part III (the revenge of the overdue mums 2 be) ? :A
Re 29th Feb question, I think the NHS ignores it for potential due dates, so you have the choice of either 1st march or 29th feb...but i could be wrong!
My OH is willing ours to pop on 29th so he can save on birthday presents, though have pointed out that it's more likely to cost us more as every 4 years the offspring will get a double birthday rollover0 -
Congrats KeelyKat. I hope everything goes swimmingly for you.
Coleys - sorry to hear about your unwanted visitor. I understand that if you don't want to use anything chemical 'down thur' then natural yoghurt has the right ph and good bacteria to fight off the birdie bacteria.
Thanks again to everyone who had fantastic suggestions to help with my money dilemma. We aren't out of the worst yet but at least I feel armed and prepared and supported by all of you. Thank you indeed for all your help.
I'm off to Boots today to get that bag and I found out that my sister has put some money into my account without me knowing so now I can get the last bits (just) with some shopping around. It brought tears to my eyes to be helped out in such a way.
The midwife came yesterday and it looks as though everything is set for the home birth. I've checked the hose pipe reaches the taps and we just need to do a dry/wet run to check water disposition, as I need so much less water these days!!!!
Have all of you due ladies packed your hospital bags yet? I still have to do mine - but will by the end of the week.
Sending out happy baby vibes to anyone in need. xBaby Ember

Hi everyone,
Doh - have only just twigged about the 29th Feb thing. I was going to use it as and excuse for 'you are only four, you aren't going out in that outfit' !
I do have to add some things to my bag, but it is ok for an emergency. I appear to be taking nothing in apart from tissue paper as varying forms of padding! Good luck with the birthing pool - 'displacement of water made me laugh!Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
my hospital bag is about packed. Will just need to add snacks, camera, video camera (for after the birth not for filming the birth), notes, etc. So all the essentials are in there .
Just received parenting club vouchers and there isn't a voucher for a free changing bag - i already have one but in under another clubcard number could this be the reason why?now mum of 4!!!0 -
Hi 3kids, the voucher was for joining Boots club to start with I think.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0

Hello all- been reading all about your pregnancies and can't remember if I have posted a while back - I'm due on March 23rd and expecting a little girl. Not long now - starting to prepare. Hoping not to get sucked into the trap of spending loads of money as all I'll be living from is maternity allowance in two weeks when I go on maternity leave. I've decided to have 6 weeks off so that I can get our flat ready which we are currently renovating. Anyone else decorating nurseries? (Do all babies get born to the smell of fresh paint??!!)0
