Congratulations ebony! Hope you are both enjoying your first few weeks together.
Am scared. Just realised that officially everyone above me on the list is overdue. How did this happen?? Who's idea was this? How the hell is this enormous thing going to come out of the small hole?? ARGGGGHHHHH. Already having stabbing pains up my rudey parts which aren't fun so am deeply fingers in ears and eyes tight shut about the whole labour experience!!
How is everyone else doing??? I hope the overdue gals got their wishes and are absent for the best reasonscan't wait to hear all the news.

I'm still here and still pregnant. Sigh.
Best plan Shelvis is to ingore everything, have a little cough and then give birth. That's what I'm going to do. No labour pains this time, oh no, just a little cough and out it'll pop
eta - trust me I've done this before and I'm sure it'll work.......0 -

cheeky_lil_monkey wrote: »Sorry, I've got another question.
I've had a friend confide in me that she thinks she could be about 6-7wks pregnant, missed period, no ovulation yet this month but still a negative pg test.
She's always had a flat stomach (UK size 10), but lately she's been feeling very bloated (more so than usual, with some more painful wind) with crampy feelings at various times, right up to below her tummy button. She's also noticed yesterday (and it's still the same today) that her abdomen (whole pelvic area) isn't quite rigid, but it's feeling rather firm. No baby bump or anything as she knows it would be too early, but just firmer than it would usually be with a slight tummy (up just below her tummy button) which she is putting down to the bloating.
Obviously she'll re-test in a couple of days and see her Dr in early January, I was just wondering if any of you guys might have felt the same thing early in pregnancy or know what it could be.
Sorry, I've been asked to ask (think it's about time she got her own internet connection), she'd be 8 weeks today if she was pg, she's got achey boobs on and off (it's 8 days before af would be and her usual is 2-3 days before), a little lightheaded from time to time, finding it really hard to waken/get up in the morning, although finding it hard to get to sleep at night. She's also feeling colder than the rest of us, but can get hot and sweaty during the night, also stopping her sleeping. She's not being sick, but is queasy from time to time, more especially on the first whiff of dinner, but that would be normal i think. Her abdomen is still kinda firm and if she drinks much at all, she needs to pee loads. Oh and she didn't ovulate this month and no ewcm, just lots of creamy and sticky (defo tmi), then dryness for a day or 2 and back to that again with loads of it, she keeps thinkin af has arrived due to wet knickers. When her bladder is full, she can feel hardness just above her pubic bone.
She doesn't want to take another test until after af is due but is wonderin about her symptoms.
Anyone any thoughts on what could be going on, whether she could be 8 wks pregnant or she couldn't.0 -
Yes, she could easily be pregnant - all those things were my symptoms. Didn't have morning sickness but did have a bit of queesyness. I was also very tired and abdomen went rock hard. Sore boobies too.
Surely a test should work around now?2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Hello ladies!!!
Im due in early aug 2008
But with this pregnancy I have been feeling so different from my last.
I cannot eat anything substancial.
Im now getting a tad concerned.
Yesterday I had 2 rolls 1 with cheese and the other with potato scone, kept both down(just), but as for fruit or dinners, its a no win situation.
Im losing weight also, and Im a bit concerned......
What im wondering is, how did other mums cope with this sickness/unable to eat cycle??
Last time I was eating for scotland and only sick twice, this is so different.
Im also drinking loads of juices, with a horrible taste in my mouth at night times, again this is different for me.
Maybe I got it too easy last time:rotfl: But anyone got any advice?
Please0 -
I suffered terribly with morning sickness (due in May), so much sympathy! Most baby websites offer advice on things which may help - ginger, eating before you get out of bed etc etc. If you find they don't work, or if you can't keep down fluid then you must speak to your doctor - I got a stern lecture for being dehydrated and not going sooner, plus some tablets which helped. I lost a chunk of weight but it's all come back again & the baby is fine. Your doctor is probably well used to us ladies being in there all the time when we're pregnant, so don't feel bad about pestering them! Hope you feel better soon and congratulations.0

Thanks for adding me on the list September baby.
How soon after ovulation should a test show positive. I'm 9 days post ovulation and test was -ve this morning. I would love a tiny glass of wine tonight with my meal but scared to just in case....
ps Happy new year to u all!!!! x x0 -
Honey have the wine!! I was bladdered the week after I concieved - obviously I didn't know and I am not advocating you should be up till 2am drinking double vodka as I was (I was told I couldn't have kids and needed IVF so I didn't even think about it!) but a glass of wine will not hurt even if you are pregnant. I am 39 weeks tomorrow and have had a cheeky glass if I have felt like it and the odd baileys. The important thing s just to do things in moderation and to look after yourself. Stressing about concieving and doign nothing during your 2 week wait is just putting your life on hold and adds to the stress. Believe me. I tried for 18 months and then was told in January I can't do it (long story but my one remaining ovary and tube are stuck down with scar tissue to my bowel and my eggs are unlikely to get down my tubes as they are not together) so had appointment for IVF in June. SO thinking I can't have kids i relaxed and took some acupuncture to help relax until my IVF started. I then got pregnant naturally in April!!
If you want some extra support from people in the same position the fertilityfriend forum boards are great. They also help you chart your temperature if thats something you are into. They have seperate boards for people on their 'waiting to ovulate' and 'waiting to test' and is absolutely great for support. I found the advice and help there invaluable and they are probably better placed to help with TTC issues than us over here on the pregnancy board.
That said please dont disappear - the more the merrier!0 -
Is this your first machairs? We shall have to keep tabs on each other being due in the same week. Will get back to swimming in the New Year and keep eating healthy(ish).
Good luck scruffy. Sounds like there will be some christmas babies on the boards!
This will be my third. I have made such a pig of myself over the festive and I am quite disgusted with myself. Can't wait to get back to work on the 7th to have some normality and routine. Anything high in fat/sugar left by then will go in the bin.
It weill be nice to keep tabs on each other, yes.
