Its 4am and i have just come home from the hospital AGAIN, feeling completley fed up and really struggling with how im feeling both physically but especially mentally.

Im hoping and praying i wont go overdue as its 4 weeks today until my due date anyway. I wont start moaning or i may never stop but i feel so bloody CRAP!!

Labour vibes going out to all who need them. Probably beter to have your babies now than on Christmas / Boxing day anyway - they'll enjoy their birthdays more.

Hi everyone - please can I join this chat.
I found out last week that i am pregnant with first child :j- OH and I are really made up, just bit worried about the cost of childcare. I think I am 9 weeks,although seeing the midwife in 2 weeks time to confirm.

Can I just ask what your position is on hair dying? I went blonde 4 weeks back (before I knew I was pregnant) and because I am concerned about getting it done all the time I wondered about going back once and going to my natural colour, but have heard many "dos" and "donts" (mostly from people who haven't had a child!). Any thoughts?

Hope the ladies in waiting are not getting too fidgety and those new to the list are ready for the long wait (hello!). Congrats on any new arrivals too since i was last online....have spent a couple of weeks reading my way through the parenting thread and getting quite nervous about what happens *after* the little bundle of joy arrives!

Right, now please for some advice....back in the early summer, we offered a spare room to one of our neighbours as they've just got divorced and he's in the process of buying a new place. However, the sale of their old house didn't complete until mid-december, and the survey on his new place has only just been done before xmas. I reckon best case scenario is that the sale on the new place completes early Feb, worst case could be late march. My EDD is 2nd March and I want the "lodger" out by end Jan when i go on maternity leave so I can have a) peace and quiet for the last few weeks b) a decent spare bed should I need to use it when i get fidgety in the las few weeks and c) all his boxes gone from the spare room we can't get at to turn into the nursery yet!
So, anyone got any tactful ways of saying get out and find yourself somewhere else in Feb? I tried the subtle way of pointing out the date i go on mat leave and that i'd make his life hell if he was still here by then, but apparently that was too subtle.... I'm aiming for a home birth which will require me to keep my blood pressure down!

Douggie - You could just be honest and say the date you start your maternity leave is ... and he should have somewhere sorted by then, you have been good enough to give him a place to live up till now he shouldnt outstay his welcome:p

This is a bit of a rant, I just need to tell someone. I can't talk to anyone and I thought it would help to write it down.

I had a horrid day yesterday. OH and I argued for most of it, he was really picky with me and wouldn't tell me what was wrong. We had planned to on a night out so I had a sleep in the afternoon to make sure I was ok to go out. We kept on having little silly arguments when he got home from work but I still got ready to go out cos I really wanted to have a nice night. i knew there was something wrong with him but he kept saying he was fine.

By the time we got there he was in a mood with me and walked off ahead. We have one drink and he decided he was going home and walked out. I sat there hoping he would come back. I started walking home and he was walking back towards me, I had the door keys. He was still moody with me and I walked off in tears. I sat for a bit then decided to look for him. I found him but he again refused to tell me what was wrong and walked off again. I decided to go home and settled down with a baby mag. OH was downstairs listening to a cd. After a while he called up asking if I still wanted to go out, it was 10pm by then and I had been cryng for ages so didn't really feel like going out! I said I would if he came and explained what was wrong, he walked out. He was out until 1am and was drunk when he did get home, we sent each other a few texts while he was out and he was talking about me leaving him if I was unhappy.

When he got home he explained why he had been upset (why do men do that?????). The reason was that I had said my mum would have the pram at her house until we needed it and that I wanted my mum to drive us home when the baby is born. He was upset becasue his parents have paid for the pram and have been here for us a lot. My parents were very much against the baby and wanted me to have a termination. He kept going in about it last night saying that I was pushing his mum away now my mum was interested and that that wasn't fair as my mum wanted the baby terminated. I was so upset by this. I appologised for asking my mum without discussing it with him, I know I should have but shes my mum and I need her. I feel like he is trying to push her away from me. I am so alone and I need her.

He was drunk and called me a horrid name, I screamed at him and ran downstairs. I spent the night sleeping on the sofa (not so comfy at 30 weeks preg!!). He has said sorry this morning for saying nasty things to me and we have talked about the fact he feels he can't talk to me without us arguing. I am just beside myself, I am so upset. I have cried all day, I just want this to all go away. I feel like everytime this happens a little bit of our relationship is ruined and taken away. It makes the lovely times seem fake or tarnished.

I know nobody will be able to give me advice, I just wanted to get it off my chest. I hope nobody minds, I would talk to my mum but I don't like talking to her about OH because I don't want her to think badly of him.

Lol! Thanks PP, but that's the subtle approach which was too subtle for him! :rolleyes:

Purplegirl - !!!!{hugs}}}, men just don't follow normal behavioural patterns and it probably took him to go out and get drunk to be able to tell you what was on his mind. Not so nice for you being on the receiving end of it, but underneath it all, it sounds like he's trying to be protective of you after the earlier incidents with your mum, as well as worrying that his parents will be cut off. Just make sure you tell him exactly how you feel (and how his reactions made you feel) as at least you'll know you've done as much as *you* can to get things in the open.

can i join please? we have been trying to concieve for 6 months and still nothing. getting a bit frustrated as number 1 happened the same night husband came back from afghan. maybe ii should send him away for a few month again.
