Welcome! And good luck when you start trying. At least you'll have a good idea of what to expect.
Another Boots bargain if anyone has any of the vouchers for half price baby expert / maternity expert stuff. It's currently on buy one get one half price so when I went in with my voucher today to buy (yet more!!) nipple cream the till does the half price first from the boots parenting club, then it takes half price off one of your items - but at the original price not the new half price. I therefore paid half price for the first item and they paid me 1p to take away the second one.
The girl on the till looked mystified at the price then said "That's a good deal" When I said I had more of the vouchers she said "Well come back and buy some more, but make sure you get a lot more of everything at that price" Boots in Durham didn't have a lot to choose from but might try at Middlesbrough at the weekend when I go for 4D scan.0 -

chocaholic110 all the best for ur 4d hope you really enjoy the experience.
Well ladies it looks like I had a show yesterday morning. I went over to the parents club and asked about some of their shows coz I wasn't sure if it was or not. It wasn't blood stained or pink it was just yellow!! A few of the mums over there said that was all they got. So there is a chance I will go naturally before my induction next thursday!! If not roll on next Thursday!!
Hope everyone else is well and getting some sleep at nightEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

Good luck scruffy, and all the ladies who are about to pop!
One thing to try in addition to everything else might be reflexology pressure points to start off labour. I'm a reflexologist and have tried it on two people for whom it worked a treat. The first was my sister-in-law who had been in labour a long time without cervix getting dilated. Dad was told to go home as "nothing was happening tonight", I popped in, worked on the uterus pressure points, and waters broke followed by baby 15 minutes later! Baby shot out just as nurses were changing shifts, took everyone by suprise.
The next time was my friend a year ago who was at 40 weeks and just desperate for baby to be born. she went into labout 3 hours after the pressure points were worked on.
You can find the uterus reflex point here: http://www.ofesite.com/health/reflex/chart/
It is on the inside ankle, below the ankle bone. Get hubby to give you a nice foot massage (maybe with aromatherapy oils that are known to help induce?) and he can press hard(ish) with thumb around that point.
Good luck!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

hey all, I haven't been here for a while. Just thought I'd catch up on the latest and spread mine!
I'm 24 weeks and all's been going well so far (well apart from the sickness which has thankfully stopped now, fingers crossed)
Anyway, I came out in an itchy, spotty rash a couple of days ago so went to the docs to get it checked out. He asked if I'd been feeling unwell at all and I said no, just a bit cold-like which everyone generally does in the winter.
He had a look at my spots, sat me down and said "Well, it's chicken pox!"
Well, imagine my shock.
Couldn't beleive it!
I'm soooo itchy, shame the baby mitts don't fit, LOL!
I hadn't finished my christmas shopping, having to send OH out for the few bits left (oh well gives him something to do!)
So here I am covered in calamine and spots (and I didn't realise the spots can get everywhere!):j Mom of 1-Erin Louise born 11.4.08:j0 -

Well hello there everyone. I know it's kinda early to be joining the board but I needed some moral (female) support as am living quite a ways from my mom or any female friends as well as the fact that I'm the first of my friends to be doing this. Oh well any suggestions, hints, tips, etc, feel free to let me know as I've already got the morning sickness happening far too often (as in morning, noon and night!!!!). Also finances not exactly great so any suggestions on that score also very welcome. This was a very unplanned pregnancy and as such we are very unprepared.
Anyway just wanted to say hello.Balancing and Juggling kids and money? :cool:0 -
grad_gal25 welcome and congrats.
redflame705 sorry to hear about your chicken pox hopefully it will clear up soon!! No fotos of yuo on xmas day :rotfl:Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
:j Hello. We completed on the purchase of our flat today!!.
It is small and we had help from a couple of friends to be able to get a reasonable mortgage but it is ours!!.
So glad we have our rented house for another 3 weeks so we can take the decorating and moving slowly. Hubby is going to rip out the horrible fireplace tomorrow. I'm off to buy paint and hoping the staff will be helpful in homebase and do all the lifting for me.
 However I have to spend the morning looking after friends children first. The 5 year old can be very difficult so really not looking forward to it. All good practice I suppose.
Hope you all sleep well.Baby Boy due 4/3/08
We've completed on flat purchase
Moving in Saturday 12th Jan 08
