  • She wasnt called Kim was she choc? only i have met her and took an instant dislike to her lol, luckly (doubley if thats who you got) she is the one who wont come out to see me.

Im really not in the mood for being talked down to, god knows what she will say when i tell her what i do for work if being a flipping teacher isnt good enough for them

Im really annoyed at the moment with all of the people looking after me and at the minute would have more faith having this baby in the corner shop with the local vet!
 I love my gorgeous little girl
  • Hi all. My stitch removal is booked in for the 19th December which will make me 35 weeks. No idea what will happen although I've prepared myself for the fact it might trigger my labour. Especially as I've been very crampy for the past week or so.

I don't sleep well either, always need the loo, always hot and always uncomfortable.

Nooo, but she said Kim would be out to see me after the birth. Is she worse???

To be honest, I think it's where I live that probably makes them have preconceived ideas (a tiny terrace in a suposedly deprived area). It's the same with DS's school - I got asked at his last parents' evening if I thought I could benefit from adult literacy or maths classes! (This in a room that had a sign up saying "All pupils are responsible for saving there own work" - I felt like asking if they thought they could benefit if they don't know the difference between there and their. But I didn't, I just smiled sweetly and politely declined!)
  • So if it wasnt Kim, that only leaves Nicky? but im only guessing as they are the only two names mentioned to me.

I only met Kim briefly but she seemed very abrupt and exactly like who visited you. Why all the questions? and why do they need to know if you have a car each?

I wish i had the nerve to say im a hooker with a drug problem :rotfl:

  • I dare you!

No, I don't think it was Nicky either. Actually she said she only does the antenatal visits and I probably wouldn't see her again as she only works one day a week. She could have been a bogus health visitor for all I know! It's starting to bring back memories of the HV I had when DS was born - she was really horrible. She's retired now but she lives near a colleague who says she's actually horrible in real life too!

Duno about the car. my friend thinks they wanted to know how isolated I'm going to be as OH works away a lot during the week. She also wanted to know how often he gets home, if I had family around and did I have any friends(!) My friend (the psychologist) thinks a lot of the questions were assessing the risk of post-natal depression

Shelvis I was in my local chemist today and asked for advice about things to take during pregnancy to help you sleep. The pharmacist said there is nothing that you can take and she advised to stay clear of herbal remedies as they had not been properly tested!!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I know the drugs I'm on at the mo to control my itch are makin me so drowsy, it's great the past 3 nights I've drifted off to noddy land in no time at all!! And stayed there all night I don't even wake for the loo!!!

  • Morning Scruffy!

Hope everything goes ok at your appointment. There's nothing worse than being starving & knowing you can't eat!

I've finished nesting,my house has never been more prepared! 3 weeks until due date. Let's hope the wee one doesnt put up to much of a protest & makes an appearance sooner rather than later!

good luck scruffy and hope all goes well!!

well i eventually got to see the therapist but never got long as there was so much paperwork to fill out first. she is also a midwife and checked baby and said he is not breech anymore woohoo!!!! so this made my day as you can imagine!!! however since coming back last night i have had the worst backache ever??? and on top of that my boobs keeps exploding at every opportunity (sorry if TMI). the therapist did say i hope your organised as this will be an early arrival, am 34 weeks tom and dont want to phone hosp to say i have major backache and exploding boobs but have never had this in previous pregnancies??

any way labour vibes to all in need and the rest of you take it easy and get some rest before all these babies appear!!! xxxx
