MSE pregnancy club II

3KIDSNOMONEY

Decided i need a bit of retail therapy but am bamboozled by all the things to buy. Mainly looking at boots, mothercare and ikea - as by the time you use vouchers they are around the same price as everywhere else. Been to kiddicare before but had problems with faults and they don't seem that cheap.

Anybody had an ikea cot. I really want a wipe clean mattress but not sure if they do them. The range of mattresses is horrendous and not sure what to get. Help!!! Want to start buying.

Thanks, Scruffy! You may all be glad to know that I have actually joined the Parenting Club now (believe it or not, it took a while for it to sink in that I am now a parent!) but I still love checking in here. Its always full of anticipation and lovely news that its so hard to let go!

Hey all,

I was due on sun 25th but still no baby, midwife is gonna do a sweep on monday and if nothing happens i'll be booked in on the 8th.

My question is can i be induced at the birthing centre? i had all my other babies there and would love to have this one there too.

I've had a really rough 24 hours, I started with a bladder infection yesterday and it turned into a really serious one. I was very distressed yesterday afternoon/evening.

Luckily my friend at work told me to ring the docs and the doctor told me that it is vital that bladder infections are treated immediately as they can cause serious complications in pregnancy including premature labour :eek: so i went to get them yesterday pm.

I was only ringing her to see what I could take as I assumed I wouldn't be allowed antibiotics but that's not the case at all, so I'm so glad I didn't just try home remedies. I'm really worried that I've put my baby at risk and now I'm worried about the antibiotics (there is a risk with taking them but it's nowhere near as bad as doing nothing according to the doc), I guess I am just being an overprotective mummy to be

Hopefully the AB's will start to take effect soon
