Went to my first hypnobirthing session last night, right up my street as i'm very into the holistic approach to things and avoiding unnatural drugs where possible (not counting sugar as i'm an addict!).

Scruffy, your m/w would have been horrified by the whole concept as it's about overcoming the conditioning that labour has to be painful...yeah, not a lot of hope of anything else when the medical profession keeps telling you it has to be! We saw a couple of videos of woman giving birth using HB where the only sound was a bit of deep breathing and the general amazed woos from the m/ws and consultants who wouldn't believe the baby's head was crowning until they saw the evidence.

Can't wait for the next session, main problem i see will be blocking out all the contradictory messages on the forums, but no way in hell am i giving up reading about everyone else's experiences :)
  • thanks girls

just had a bit of a wobble and burst into tears! but lets face it that was always going to happen!

im going now....keep everything crossed for me (except you tsstss and hopelesscook... you keep everything open! ;))

    see you soon

Its so emotional when another one flies the nest! Feel like bursting into tears myself! Very best of luck for tomorrow -- the day you eventually meet your son, Danny! :D

PS: hope OH can quickly find his way around a keyboard :rotfl:.

Hope all you girls are all well. Nearly wet myself reading about 'vagoinas' (or maybe I should be doing more pelvic floors! :rotfl:).

Fac, such a lovely name for your son! Hope you are both doing well.

What about leaving a note on the front door where the bag was saying if it was your bag, would you like a cup of tea?

I would love to say thanks to such a nice person - there are not many left who would give such a nice gift and wouldn't even want thank you for it!!!!!! They could have floged items on ebay and got some money for them, but they decided to choose you and make you are gift!!!!! How wonderful!

Anyway, who thinks that CG met her son already? When are we going to hear the news!!!!!!!! (Sorry, I am very impatient....)

i know wot u mean ginvzt and the weird thing is i really don't know many people in my area as i have only lived here for 3 years and most of my family are down south whereas i'm in the north east. i might put a note in the local shop window 2 say thank you and hope they see it.

  • ohhhh good luck CG, thinking of you :j

I'm sat here waiting for my doctor to ring me back as I think I have a water infection. I woke up at 5.30am with awful back ache and thought it was contractions at first but then realised that the pain wasn't easing. It has since spread to the left hand side of my bump so I rang the midwife and explained who in turn told me to ring my GP as there is no clinic today!

So rang the GP's office and they said they would get GP to ring me back to decide on next action, that was 30 mins ago... the pain's not going away :(

Why oh why can't it be labour pains... grrrrrrr
