I have been lurking on here for quite a few months now, and thought it was about time that I added myself officially to the list. I'm 15+3 today, and think that I have (touch wood) had the last of my morning sickness!!

I do have a question for you all. Yesterday I had a consultants appointment, and he has written a prescription for daily injections of Clexane from 20 weeks. Have any of you got any experience of this? We're a bit concerned about it as he didn't really explain about it at the time, and I'd rather not take medication unless it really is necessary. I've got another appointment with him at 19 weeks to discuss it (following a visit I made to the antenatal clinic this morning to find out if they had any information they could give me), but I'd like to know as much about it as possible, before I agree / refuse the treatment.

I am so stressed! Sorry to come and moan but I just need to feel like i'm not the only one who feels like this. I have been getting seriously stressed with my OH. I just feel like he isn't supporting me as much as I need. I seem to fly off the handle ay him, something I don't normally do. He has a shouty temprement and I have always counteracted it with silence, igroring it. Now I am 20 weeks pg I seem to find myself having a much shorter fuse with him and its really stressing me out. I seem to end up in tears all the time and feel permanantly frustrated with him. This is our first baby and I just want to know if I am acting really badly or if others have been like this too??

im hormonal, fed up and likely to gore people at a moments notice!

Miss be - im not sure there is a specific thread, my only advice is to remember this is a bloody long process (trust me.... ive been pregnant F-O-R-E-V-E-R) and you have plenty of time to shop around!
ive found mothercare the most expensive place on earth and other than a few luxury bits (or stuff i found on sale) i havent really got anything from there! the days of them having the monopoly on baby gear are well and truly over!
boots are good, tescos (instore and direct) have some excellent bargains, toys r us can be pricey too but ive found some of the stuff much better value than mothercare, my tip is to shop around online first, find what you want (without knackering yourself out traipsing around town) and either order it... that way you wont spend extra because your actually at the shops or arm yourself with a list and try to stick to it!
