I am 20 weeks on Thursday and have already started buying a few bits such as bibs and nappies. Got scan this week and then if everything is OK I am going to start buying bigger things. It spreads the cost and pregnancy is so unpredictable, baby can come early and things. Was thinking about waiting til after Christmas for the sales, but to be honest everywhere has offers, i.e. extra points and things before Christmas and it is less hectic. Will probably make a trip to kiddicare near peterborough as they are good value. Hoping to get surestart maternity grant that you can claim at 29 weeks so more expensive things might have to wait til then. R U showing much yet? Sometimes i am and sometimes i don't even look pregnant - not big enough for maternity clothes yet, just look like i have eaten too much!

David Tennant for me - not the most attractive, but definitely something about him....

Hi everyone,

just to say our beautiful baby girl arrived a full 18 days early last Thursday afternoon. Was in labour for 6 hours before fetal distress (cord around her neck) put a stop to my dream of a natural delivery. Anyway, she weighed just under 5lbs at birth but she is just perfect and I am now a besotted new mum despite the sleepless nights!

Both David AND Richard would so get it. Yes at the same time if available.....My fave has got to be Dec (from Ant and Dec!) though given the choice. I have fancied him for 16 years (sad i know).

Been following this thread and am also waiting for SB news. I assume she is too exhausted to post! On a baby thread I used to post on people used to 'buddy up' and swap phone numbers so that they could text their buddy and they could let us all know all is well and how things went.

I want to be overdue - easy to say at my current time I know! Thing is I am due 8th Jan and if I am early my poor little boy will have a crap birthday for ever cos too close to Christmas. I would prefer somewhere around the 20th! I can see me getting to 38 weeks and wanting to evict but I really hope I dont feel that selfish - a few weeks discomfort for me or a lifetime of crap birthdays for baby.

Congratulations RenStar and hello Purplegirluk1

On the subject of buying stuff we went mad at an NCT nearly new sale at the weekend and got a cot, travel cot, buggy, high chair seat to fit to the table, stair gates and some other bits and bobs all in good condition for £75.

We are due to have the twenty week scan tomorrow (2 weeks late) so I am now back to my paranoid state and praying the scan shows all is well.
