Hey, let's have the David Tennant versus Richard Hammond conversation again, it's fun.
(Yes I know I'm not supposed to be here...You ain't seen me, right? :rotfl: )
Does it have to be versus? Can't I have both? Although if I had to choose it would be David...no, Richard, no, David...no, sorry it's got to be both!0 -
Richard is just too short for me. How tall is David ???:D0

Don't panic Agutka, i'm still here. My baby is in no rush.
And the sonographer said she's a large baby-to be honest the thought of getting her out is scary, but isn't really crossing my mind, as i just want her out so much.
I wake up every morning dreading the school run, i'm going to stick a sign on my head saying "NO, SHE'S NOT HERE YET". Although you'd think its amazingly obvious with the size of my belly-i know i shouldn't let it get to me, they aren't to know what it feels like to hear those same words at least 20 times a day!!
I was just explaining to mother why I could still look like this next week... ho hum. At least I know I'm lucky that all the 'has she had it' phonecalls from my family get filtered through her, and OH's family don't actively care, whereas my friends are all too scared to call, so I just get the occasional email. At least mother calls 'just to see how I am' every hour, so the annoying person award goes to my brother, the only one with the daily have you had it yet phonecall. And everyday I say yes, come visit us.
Apparetnly SIL noticed yesterday that my bump has fallen (not true, baby was lying transversly that's all) and that my face looks all puffy (thanks, 41 weeks pregnant, she looked like an all over balloon for at least a month in her pregnancy grrr). At least I made her clean my bathroom - did a fantastic job too , although she does seem to be turning into my mother
I can't wait to see how it's all gonna pan out... What wonders await at my appointments this week...:wall:0 -

Oooh, even taller than DH !!0 -
Is there some sort of form to fill in to be allowed in the Parenting Club? A fee to pay I don't know about? I'm off to read the forum guides, maybe that's where we're going wrong...:wall:0

:rotfl: Curious George, behave! If anyone is going to have a Tennant/Hammond sandwich its me
It was nice to see Mr Hammond back on Top Gear last night but I am not sure about his hair at the mo
Labour vibes to all those that need them, take care all.DFW Nerd no. 108LBM: Jan 2010 DFD: June 2014 - 27.1% paid off so farWeight loss (started 12/05/2012) = 37lbs/109lbs0 -
So much for 'I have stopped having dreams'! I dreamt about this thread and board last night - wee-ird. Everyone was at a sort of theme park and you all had your babies - except me. Hmph.
Agutka, I am not sure about trying the old wives tales - I've always maintained that if they actually worked, no one would be more than a couple of days overdue because you'd have this little remedy to get things going. But now we're here? I am sort of thinking 'what's the harm'... Really off curry though, have been throughout pregnancy, and not a pineapple fan... Sex is producing braxton hicks and that's it, although I can't complainWalking is difficult... what does that leave?
I am pretty set on a home birth BUT trying to bear in mind they don't always go to plan and I may end up in hospital anyway, but yeah I'd be devastated if I had to be induced. Read lots of websites saying you can refuse an induction and insist in a natural labour AT HOME if you so please - but there are risks so it's a pretty scary thought to defy medical advice at, say, 42 weeks.
OTOH if it gets to that point maybe I won't care and will just want them to get him out - trying to keep an open mind, maybe I am just scared of the hospital, with more than 1 in 4 having c-sections and people in labour being turned away - and October being one of the busiest months! Doesn't fill me with confidence.
I hope I can be as patient as you are though if nothing happens in the next four days.
And jojo - oh god, I cannot even imagine having to face a crowd like that every day, must time a second pregnancy very carefully
Agutka have you had a sweep yet? I was thinking of asking for one at my 40 weeks appointment...
Got to ignore the Hammond comments, I can't stand short men, sorry...
edit: and yes, what the hell is going on with his hair??????0 -
I quite liked Richard's new hair, he's clearly going for the surfy look with the necklace and all.....yum. And I don't know about you ladies but it's difficult enough to place one bloke at the moment (and I'm only 20 weeks) for um 'action', let alone two! David will have to take turns!
Nothing from SeptemberBaby - hopefully we should hear something soon. Hopefully Mr SB is primed to tell us asap! Vibes again for everybody else.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0
