Hey, let's have the David Tennant versus Richard Hammond conversation again, it's fun. :D

(Yes I know I'm not supposed to be here... :p You ain't seen me, right? :rotfl: )
• Good luck to everyone on the board.

My DH had a dream that his waters broke last night. (More of a nightmare)

I have heard about women doing a big clean just before they go into Labour as if getting the nest ready and just seen someone saying that you automatically have a BIG lye in before as you are resting your body.

Well today my Hubby had that dream and then I cleaned the house top to bottom and then went back to bed all afternoon, well still here now and am not moving until tomorrow..........is this a sign

Due with 1st baby 18th October - 11 days to go

:rotfl:Everything is a sign. I won't believe it until there is an angry looking little red person screaming on my chest!

I read in the rough guide to pregnancy that it is possible to be left to week 44!! before inducing. I really do hope my hospital has a sooner policy...

Back to sorting out the house - how many towels can a person own? I am such a hoarder! I wonder if I could lose a baby in a giant bath sheet... Better stick to baby towels I suppose...

Hi all

is it a sign if your pubic region starts to hurt? I'm nearly 38 weeks now and I have suddenly developed a ache/pain there - it's making walking very far (well at all really) a bit difficult not to mention adding to the insomnia! I have also started to sleep more in the day which would be fine if I was sleeping at night but ends up putting my body clock out so I cannot then get to sleep till 2am !

I am consoling myself with the thought that this will only go on two more weeks so cannot bear the thought of a 44 week run lololol.

good luck to all those overdue to pop - can't be long 4 you now SB, jojo &aguta!

Congrats Casper too.

I see I've got 2 baby due date buddies on the list - will be interesting to see who pops first!

On the subject of dreams - I've had lots of interesting activity there!!! (not like real life though as the spirit is willing but .....

Also have had to censor our film watching as any horror type activity and you can guarentee that I'll later be staring in my very own zombie/slasher dream ....and that's after I've spent more time than usual checking doors and windows before bedtime lol.

• *whisper* hi dormouse :hello: :D

tsstss, that sounds like it could be SPD, particularly if it hurts when you walk - esp up/down stairs.

I was having quite vivid dreams a few weeks ago but they seem to have stopped suddenly - or, I just don't remember them  mind you I'm not sure that I get enough sleep to dream.

All that stuff I said about being patient and not bothered about being early/on time? Well you may have already guessed but I suppose I should confess, it was ALL crap - I cannot begin to contemplate missing out on a home birth due to induction, so yes, I am officially wanting labour to start, any time from now is fine, day or night, whatever. I've got nothing else planned, and nothing that I 'need' to do really, so bring it on.
Isn't it funny how we think about things. I am not due for 5 days, but instead of realising that, all I can think is there is no reason I will NOT be late and all my plans will go out of the window.

Oh, bless. Go for it Fac! Does this mean you'll be trying all the tricks from now on? I really hope you don't get to miss out on the home birth, I'm pretty sure you've been set on one of those ever since you heard of them.

I'm not really bothered yet, as I do have stuff to do, although I can't do anything anymore, so that's pointless. Had SIL shouting at me today, because doggie wandered into the nursery! I wonder if I might turn more germ-protective after the birth:confused:.
However, I am getting increasingly uncomfortable, the baby is still growing everyday (and losing the vernix, so less slippery ) and everyone I know has had theirs already! I am getting scared too about pushing it out... Ho hum...

I thought that too, but it's only just come on not a trace of pain there up until this week - funnily enough I missed my last day of work as I puffed up and as I was worried about poss pre-eclempsia spent alot of the day in maternity ward getting bloods done etc. not even a trace of high blood pressure - but now I have this awful pain - wierd!!!

On a lighter note I did manage to get told off (LITERALLY) by all the midwives who saw me as I have been aiming 4 a home birth too and am a VBAC. You wouldn't think I was a grown up person of 35 the way they talked to me - reminded me vary much of my first hosp birth experience and why I was opting for a home birth in the first place!

Anyway bb is no longer breech so provided I get the house ready (not had time with all the working) I think I'm back on track.

Incidentally the reason I had a ceasearian last time was letting them induce me when I was 4 days over and fed up..... I didn't realise that inductions sometimes make a ceasarian more likely - so def wouldn't recommend that option if you can avoid it (obviously it sometimes it is necessary just better not to jump the gun like I did!)

Don't panic Agutka, i'm still here. My baby is in no rush.
And the sonographer said she's a large baby-to be honest the thought of getting her out is scary, but isn't really crossing my mind, as i just want her out so much.
I wake up every morning dreading the school run, i'm going to stick a sign on my head saying "NO, SHE'S NOT HERE YET". Although you'd think its amazingly obvious with the size of my belly-i know i shouldn't let it get to me, they aren't to know what it feels like to hear those same words at least 20 times a day!!
