Nicky, that sounds bad enough, but I think it may get worse for me. My mother keeps asking to make sure she'll be able to get into the delivery suite for the labour :eek: (we're not the best of friends, so I can't imagine anything worse). And when I mentioned it to SIL, turns out both my parents were sat just outside the door when she was in labour with my dad poking his head round asking of she was done yet from time to time. Put her right off apparently. I know I won't keep to this as can't keep secrets from them, but really considering not telling anyone I'm in labour until the baby is out.

    Sweet dreams everyone!

When I went into labour with my DS my dad phoned me on the mobile whilst we were on the way to the hospital, to ask if I was in for a brew. Told him I was out shopping :rotfl: as I didn't want him worrying ! We never told anyone i'd gone into labout and we only told people about an hour after DS was born. My mum would have been phoning the hospital every hour if i'd told her !
We're going to do the same this time and not tell anyone, except my mum will be on call to look after DS, so she will know. Parents !!!

I know!!! :D Still no signs of her wanting out a whole week on!

Hope Mrs J is doing well (your twins will probably be here before my babe!).

Speaking of parents, my mum scared me yesterday. Told me about a dream she had on Mon night involving me going into labour and my OH calling my parents for a lift. Apparently we couldn't get to the hospital quick enough (only live around 15 mins away) and I ended up having baby in the back of my dad's car! Was quite impressed at how detailed the dream was and how much she had remembered but had kindly told her she could have wrote it down or something and then shown me in a few weeks! The slightest twinge of any labour-type pains and I'm going to be straight on the phone. There is no way I'm giving birth in the back of a car with no pain relief. (I am a chicken in that sense and plan to give a few things a go bar an epidural)
  • I keep havin dreams that my waters are gonna break whilst i'm walking the kids to school, i was thinkin about it this morning and what i would do if it actually happened.
  • Morning girls :)

I woke up at 1.30 this morning with braxton hicks, which went on all bloody night and I'm exhausted.

Going to get my hair done today and feeling very snappy so hope no one asks 'when's it due?!'

"When are they due, when are they due?"

jtotheb, my what a growth spurt this week! I have pretty much the same problem walking my dog - just getting to the park exhausts me - it's a good 5% incline!! I have stopped bothering to keep her on a lead now (huge pulling thing she is) and resort to pleading. We must be a right sight!

Poor fac... and I thought I had it bad with my slight insomnia - instead of falling back to sleep after the pee breaks I seem to just lie there for at least an hour - normally I'd be tossing and turning, but that is out of the question...

Another bit of excellent news - the carpet fitter has finished the last bit of work and we now have very light coloured stairs - shouldn't stay this bright for long... So apart from a few touch ups for the decorator (who has disappeared for a few weeks to make sure he misses the birth) our poor house is entirely dependent on OH to sort it out and put everything back. Speaking of which... I have a bathroom to clean... ho hum.
